Why no MU High Definition TV for games

Watched Syracuse, West Virginia, Uconn, Seton Hall and tonight USF on the BEN. All were/are in High Def. Why not MU? Just curious.

I'm guessing it's a Time Warner Sports 32 issue (maybe no HD equipment).  Hopefully a Wisconsinite can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the local feed is only SD too.

TWS 32 is non-HD currently, but will have HD broadcast by the end of the year.

ESPN Full Court is not in HD and they have no plans for any HD games in 2010-11 in HD per ESPN.

Chicos, any chance the Tru channel will go HD on DirecTV by tournament time? With our luck that's the channel the MU games wil be on if we make the dance.

Living in Racine, I don't know what is worse.  The time warner 32 tv feed or the 540am radio feed....

Actually .. I think the TWC32 feed got better this year .. the picture quality seems to be brighter, sharper than last year, when it was sucktacular.

I noted that the videos MU put out were in 16:9 .. couldn't specifically tell if they were in HD, but they probably were .. so TWC32's broadcast was the limiting factor.

Indeed, I thought I'd read that TWC will be on HD channel 1332 some time in the next few months.

Time Warner Sports is garbage. Techincally, it feels like I'm watching public access. Add that to Dennis "My God I'm Bitter I'm Stuck At This Crappy Station I Was On TMJ4 Once!" Krause, and you've got a sub-par product.

And just take a moment and remember what it was like before TWC had MU games.  (Way back 3 years ago.)

Basically zero home OOC games were on, and not all away games.  Low-power 41 showed a few here and there, and you were lucky to have that.

So .. while I would want TWC to improve their transmission, I'm happy I can watch ALL MU games on SOMETHING.

Just a guess, but I would think all sat trucks are HD these days, but you could still have SD cameras shooting the game.

FYI - While clearly not HD, Friday night's feed on ESPN3.com actually looked half-ways decent for an SD feed compared to what I'm hearing from those who watched on TWC.

I think the games on 1332 will be HD if available as I recall.  TW local is digital at best on Ch 307.
