Sorry if this has been posted previously.  Does anyone know which recruits will be attending Marquette Madness?

Shanunu

From what I've heard, D'Angelo Harrison, Jarion Henry, Trey McDonald, and Mike Shaw. Also Juan Anderson is making the trip out for Madness so keep an eye out for him.

SacWarrior

I'm gonna be drunk as hell and I know what Mike Shaw looks like so I've told my friends to keep me from attempting to contact him in any way.

So cool, bro.

I haven't been to one before (I know... pretty sad). How many fans are usually there? Will the house be rockin' ? Is it unusual for a recruit to announce his committment at the venue? How much time to they waste on Women"s hoops?

In order-

-It gets pretty packed.
-It will be early, but half the crowd will leave during the scrimmage.
-Unusual, and illegal. Recruits cannot commit while on campus for a visit.
-Any time is too much. So too much.

My girlfriend must really love me. Her sister is getting married Saturday, and I was supposed to attend the rehearsal dinner on Friday night. Instead, she let me out of it and no doubt I'll be attending Madness. Now that's a keeper!

Ron Paul

Thanks for the heads up.  And yes, I would say thats a keeper.

Either that, or she's got her eye on one of the groomsman and now she's got you out of the way for 4 hours while she......................
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

It is a trap. As long as you are with her, she will not let you forget not attending the rehearsal dinner with her. You are much better off going to the rehearsal dinner, if you plan on a long relationship.

Agreed.  Go to Madness, then dump her, the conniving b1tch!

Someday soon MU will be in the final four and her mother will need her bunions massaged. Then Boom - it all comes back. Run don't walk.

Just make sure you REMIND her that you sacrificed MU Madness for YOUR relationship...

as you then proceed to tell her that you want BLUE and GOLD as the color schemes for the grooms' and bridesmaids' dresses, respectively.

Admiral Ackbar says its better to go to Madness than have a long relationship.

Well, if I had to come to the dinner, I'd be arriving late because of work, which was part of the reason she let me out of it. Rather than show up an hour late for the dinner, I can show up an hour early for Madness. And besides...it's a BS wedding anyway. The couple got married two years ago, but eloped. Now they want to get all the benefits of being married, like the party and the gifts. My girlfriend thinks the whole thing is rather stupid...in fact, I'm almost surprised she isn't canceling herself to join me :D

When I got married, the ceremony seemed to lack something.  Now I know what it was: none of my groomsmen had to wear a dress.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

This is definitely a trick.  If you have a smartphone, you might be able to watch it on that...otherwise, she'll hold this over your head when you least expect it.

I couldn't convince my wife on colors for our wedding; in fact, she dictated just about everything: location (Gesu), rehearsal dinner (Turner's), set-break music (just about the entire MU basketball soundtrack), pictures (JoA Chapel), and it was her idea to get the Golden Eagle to appear (which never materialized) at the grand march.  She even told me where to take the groomsmen while the ladies were taking pictures (Hegarty's).

Did I mention my wife is an IU grad?  That's not just a keeper, that's a freakin' world record of some sort.

(Moral: If it's MU-related and she doesn't want to go, it's probably not worth going.)

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
