I clearly remember Junior scoring on a driving lay up to his right in less i am just going insane.

syscokid

he pretty much did, til the ball rolled out. it was a nice move though.

Freeport Warrior

A couple months ago, my son was playing AAU in Chicago and our ref was Mo Acker's dad. He said everyone's talking about all of the big-time recruits, but Reggie Smith was going to "blow-your-mind" with his quickness. He said he's a clone of DJames with a better shot and hops. I was skeptical. Good to hear he's in the mix and playing well.

Much thanks for the updates.

Better hops?

I hope so, but its hard to imagine.
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Take a look for yourself - I would say...YES..like DJ, Smith looks like a 2 leg jumper..and its probably better to be a 1-leg jumper (if you want to get picky).

C'mon Ners, Reggie already a much better shooter than JC?

It was 1 open gym game.  And who knows, Reggie may be a better shooter, but to gleam that assumption from an account of some rando fan, is bit presumptious.

Fair enough - wish I could be there for these games..to evaluate..all I can do is trust what's been reported here and on the Scout board...and also based on what I saw with Junior last year.  I've been on the Reggie bandwagon since he signed with MU...so I'm probably biased..just think his athleticsim being off the charts will be an asset/dimension to the team that Junior can't provide - whereas Junior can provide a better floor game/passing/traditional point guard role..

Cool - I used to love it when we ran Alley-oop plays for DJ.  I'd love to see more "point guard oop plays" in the coming years.   ;D

Secret of the Ouse

I don't know if it has been posted before but does anyone know if Buzz or any of the other coaches were at this thing watching?  Not that it matters because they will see the players everyday in practice but I'm just wondering.

I highly doubt any pro (Wes, Diener, Novak) will play until they sign their contracts.

NBA Summer League is going on right now and saw Wes walking around. He's probably taking it the sites and hanging out with friends since he can't play anyways. Don't quote me cause I'm not positive it was him but I think Blackledge was with him.
The SL is basically a NBA convention and recommend it to any basketball fans. All GMs, coaches, executives, and some players are walking around the lobbies between games and access is really easy. 2 years ago I had a general admission ticket and sat courtside at the Bucks game next to Skiles and Hammond.

The box scores are now up on milwaukeeproam.com

Thanks for the heads up.

Looks like Cadougan scored 6, which is better than 0.  Doubt the assist stats are accurate (team 3 scored 80 points with no assists and each team in the 127-102 game is listed with 1 total assist) but based on what's listed Junior also led everyone with 6 assists.

Cadougan assits were limited by DJO. Once DJO got his hands on the ball, Cadougan was not likely to get it back. DJO knew he owned the defender.

Sweet! I saw myself in the background during their interview with Otule!

Haha, I thought it was a little sad when I got excited when I saw myself and the wifey in the background of Otule's dunk at 1:50 or so :P

The step back by DJO at the 1:27 mark is butter smooth.

Lighthouse 84

Great to see the range DJO possesses and the ability to drive at will, though not much D being played in that clip (except for DJO's block).

wow absolutely no defense being played there. It's difficult to make any evaluations based on this. Fool's gold.

DJO's Pump Fake

Videos look great.  DJO will have a special couple (I hope) years here at MU.

I plan on going Saturday morning.  Can anyone tell me if both courts are within viewing distance of each other?

I want to watch some of both the 10:15 and 10:30 game and want to know if I can see both games at the same time, or if I would have to split my time in two different gyms.

Thanks!

Two different gyms.  They're a short walk away from each other down a hallway.
