For What Its Worth, Topics:

1. I asked TC about current roster: He said they have had significant turnover since he became HC. Have had a few injuries and the team is very young. He said there was one injury this year to a player (did not catch the name) which really hurt the team and torpedoed the season.

2. Recruiting: He said his gameplan is to get as many state of Indiana players as possible and fill-in the remaining spots with any non-Indiana players who they are tracking. He said there are an abundance of good players every year in the State of Indiana but that the competition is great as well with Purdue, OSU, ND, etc. He also indicated most of the BT schools are pretty close so he goes head-to-head more often with other BT schools for a recruit.

3. Big East v. Big Ten: TC said the BE is more athletic and many of the teams play a more up-tempo type offense. While the BT is very physical and each team has 2-3 big guys who are usually bruisers. I think he was sort of indicating that a guard-oriented offense like he used at MU would not work so well in BT.

Overall, he was very nice and gracious, especially when I said I was an MU fan. He mentioned that he and his wife both missed Milwaukee very much. Looked to be in good physical shape and also had a nice tan.

So basically he said nothing. Why did you puss out and soft pedal the opportunity? Crean's fortunate he didn't bump into me, instead of you. I'd burn him a new one.

Edited for what would have made for an epic post.

One of my friends saw Bruce Weber in Chicago yesterday.  Is there a Big Ten thing going on in Chicago?

The player he is talking about is Maurice Creek who was a Freshman last year who averaged like 17 a game until he broke his kneecap.  He is about all that IU has got.

This is one factor that is in MU's favor with regard to recruiting, and even attracting a coach.  Milwaukee is a really good town/city.  It's got good restaurants, great lakefront, good bar scene, fun summer festivals, quaint neighborhoods, professional sports teams, etc.  Sure TC and wife miss some of this..
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

+1, but the winters suck which is a drop for some players, but apparently not too many Texas kids care too much about that... just sayin ;)

Makes sense that he was outside...there wasn't a cloud in the sky yesterday.

Did he have the zinc oxide going?
