What in the world was the defensive strategy in the second half? Don't foul at any cost? Even with under 10 seconds left? Horsehockey. That's plain old scared chickencrap coaching by Buzz.

You may now attack. You'll be wrong, but go ahead, Koolaid.

What are u talking about.  If we even touched them it was a foul.  Our players were in foul trouble and thus had to play soft defense.  These refs were nothing like the ones we were used to having in the big east.  When Lazard, DJO, Acker each have 2 fouls before the end of the first half and Fulce has 3 you cant afford to foul.

Yup, nice call.  Let's foul them with under ten seconds left when they're in the bonus... of course someone finds a way to blame this on Buzz.

warriorfred

Wish the official would have called it even in the first half.  Definitely affected Marquette in the second half.

As much as I despise officials, I cannot blame them for the loss.  A team cannot be in a position to let the officials decide the game, and Marquette blew a 15 point lead.

The only thing wrong is your basketball IQ.  Foul a team that is in the bonus in a tie game under 10 seconds??  Genius.  If you are going to post here, at least have 1 shred of intelligence..or make 1 pont that has some validity.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

If we would have fouled in that situation, which I would have since they were in the bonus, foul as soon as they grab the rebound with under 35 seconds on the clock. Give yourself the last shot and put the pressure on them having to shoot free throws with the game on the line in that situation.

Quite frankly, I am amazed we played as well as we did all year.  And I hope with our future teams, we get what we need to compete and win a few in the NCAA tourney.  If our tallest guy is 6'7" again next year, and without our 3 starters this year, it could be a long one.  I know we have Otule and Mbao - we'll see if they play next year, stay healthy etc. but, from en experience basis, they will be freshmen.

Buzz knows what he has to do.  I love this team - what a great bunch of guys.  I'll miss Lazar, and Cubi and Mo.  They played tough as nails this year.

For the 201-2011 season . . . GO MARQUETTE!

Did I say anything about fouling?  Especially intentionally fouling?  No.  But thanks for putting words in my mouth.  Yeah, playing defense with your hands permanently at your waist is one strategy.  It's obviously a losing strategy but keep up the ballwashing, Ners.  I'll hooe for the best for next year and also hope that Buzz learns from his mistakes.
