ND is screwed. WVU and Gtown dont have easy ones but they are locks already. PITT doesnt have a bad one after us and NOVA. We clearly have a favorable one. Cincy is also in trouble. In my opinion Seton Hall has a very favorable scedule and UCONN isnt bad either.

In terms of standings we are only one game behind them for 3rd.  No way the 3rd place team in the Big East gets left out.

PGsHeroes32

Yeah im very well aware of that im just saying that those teams are locks into the tourney so if we remain on the bubble(meaning we lose a couple games) there difficult scedules are irrelevant to the grand scheme of us beating them out to make the tourney. But yes its absolutly crazy that we are basically 1 game from being potentially tied for third with a win and out of the tourney if we lose. Nuts.

Seton Hall has some traps: @ SJU, @ Rutgers (where Gtown lost), @ Prov

Feels like Louisville is the big obstacle/main threat.

FWIW, I think MU and Pitt both end up at 12-6 tied for third in the BEast.

That would be a lock for the tourney.

The remaining schedules show that Pitt's game is just huge.  A win would give us the tie breaker against Georgetown and Pitt.  And from the remaining schedule, teams that I would bet winning 4 or 5 of the last 5 would be MU and Pitt.

And ND is screwed.  I think they are still without Goudy and if they win more games in the last 5 than we do, then they deserve to go or we don't deserve to go.

don't lose sight of the fact that MU is not just playing against BEAST teams for an NCAA bid.

MU MUST win at least 4 of the next 6 to have any hope. MU's RPI is not good which is why MU must win irrespective of what other BEAST teams do.

So are you saying that if MU is 5th in the BE, we will be skipped?  If we win 3 of the next 6 (Pitt, Louisville, and ND), we are in.  But, if we lose to Pitt, then we will have to win 4 (probably 5) of the last 5.

RPI makes us a bubble team but the Pitt win would give us another "quality" win and would give us a solid resume.  Call me a homer but I think BE will get 6/7 teams in and MU's resume is better than the other BE bubble teams.
