Anyone have any idea on who the coaching staff is targeting with our last scholarship? Which i think is a very important scholarship, hopefully it doesn't get used on a player just to fill the void and is used on one of the better available players in the class.

I'm sure Buzz is aiming to land the best available PF or C he can find.  Most people here have been speculating a top JUCO forward

GOMU1104

Methinks he is looking at a player than can step in and fill the void that will be left by Lazar. A PF type that can score both inside and outside, rebound, and play defense.

Maymon was supposed to alleviate some of the pressure to replace Lazar.

I think we all assume that he would go the JUCO route, but I dont think the door is completely shut on the possiblity of adding a HS player either.

I've heard this a couple different times now and it concerns me.  Butler can replace Lazar and we'll have plenty of scorers next year.  We need a banger down low.  We still haven't found a player that can step in and fill the void left by Robert Jackson 7 years ago.

I would totally agree that the Warriors would be far better served next year by cloning RJax as opposed to trying to replace Lazar.  Even if Lazar were coming back next year, which obviously he isn't, I think he would get far fewer touches than he has this year, due to the evolution and maturity of the team.

Of course if we were lucky enough to get Jay May back, everything would run through him.

I think above all else, Buzz wants someone that can actually contribute next year come Big East play. I doubt he is going to take a big, banger type that sucks...instead of a versatile, maybe smaller, player than contribute in a number of ways.

I heard from my cousin's roommates' oral hygenist that Buzz is recruiting a 5'6" PG to fill acker's slot.

But he's got great hops and plays at 5"9".   ;D
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Ha!  This is the first time I've ever ignored anyone.  That includes warthog's fun-filled haiku week.

15 ignores in one day in the span of a couple hours is impressive.

A dubious distinction, but a distinction nonetheless.    ;)

I've seen people use LOL to describe their reaction to an entry, but this is the first time it's happened to me. Good one, Willie.
