From our standpoint it certainly wasn't a good time for UCONN to get pasted by Providence.  UCONN has a history of not showing up for games against opponents they don't think warrant their respect.  That could have been MU on Saturday but having just been embarrassed I'll bet they'll be focused for our game.  It also shows what is likely in store for us when we play Providence later this season.  Assuming Peterson does get himself thrown out again it could be a long night for MU.

Did you watch the game?

UConn was hardly "pasted". It was a tight game through 35 minutes at which point UConn simply couldn't get anything down. Just looked like a team that had nothing in the tank down the stretch which is due more to lack of depth then being blown out.

As for PC, they weren't exactly spectacular. They were awful outside the arc. During winning time, they still made some stupid plays that could've gotten them beat. You can see why a team like Iona has won at the Dunk this season.

Didn't see it.  Just saw the final score and Chico's post that Uconn didn't play well.

It seems every UCONN team is like that, I would never put money on a UCONN game for that reason. Their offense doesnt seem to have much of a flow or plan, at least in the games I have seen them play this season. Yet it will be interesting to see how they respond without Calhoun being present to drill them and having an assistant coach at the helm for the time being.

I was not that impressed with UCONN, but it was a road game.  At home they are a different team.  The game was tight, 1 point at half and 2 points with about 7 minutes to play.  Then it was all Providence down the stretch.  UCONN looked lethargic and lost in those last 7 minutes.  Poor shot selection....I agree with the other poster that they did seem to be tired.

I was amazed at how easily PC's guards were getting to the hole in the last few minutes of the game.  Several layups and bunny shots from only a few feet away.  PC must have had 3 dunks in the last 2 minutes alone.
