Granted that they're not the nut huggers pre mid 80s, but I've noticed a slight retreat from the clam diggers worn over the last several years....stupid topic, but just a casual observation...

Agreed. I've been noticing the same thing lately. The vast majority still seem to wear the long shorts, but maybe some players are choosing (or are now able to choose) slightly shorter shorts than the average length. Itlll be interesting to find out if maybe Im just seeing things or that there is a growing number of shorter shorts---never really got why shorts far below the knee were preferred for a sport that emphasizes so much sprinting and jumping.
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

Funny you mention this, during the Syracuse game I made a mental note of how long MU and Syracuse's shorts are

yeah my friend sitting next to me at the Rutgers game commented on how long EWill shorts were. They weren't Blacklidge long but they could still be confused for high water pants
