My vote is DJO for stud of the game.

I think a flawless shooting display and only 1 TO makes the little man...MoAck...the SOTG.

But I think co-SOTGs is totally appropriate in this case.

Had Frozen A or Mbao scored, he'd be the third. ;)

DJO- his points came when the game was still on the line.

tower912

Acker played great, but a lot of his points were when we were up  20+.    DJO is why we got there.    DJO for SOTG.

DJO started the mugging and set the tone for the game

WarriorHal

Another vote for DJO. He put us up big and Mo helped keep it there.

Hey....you stole my jersey!

WxWarrior

+1 for DJO.  Shooting lights out in the first half... then truly unselfish in the second.

DJO.  Plus, Acker's stupid foul on the 3 point shooter shouldn't be rewarded.

It was close between Acker's near perfect shooting, Hayward's quiet consistency, and DJO's first half domination.. I went with DJO because his stats came when the game was still "being contested" if that was ever the case.

Just happy to a.) be able to select a SOTG and b.) have to debate who is most deserving. ;)

My vote goes for DJO.  A tremendous effort from him in the first half.  20-some points out of our 46.

to whomever fills out the SOTG box--DJO played 30 min according to ESPN

IAmMarquette

I agree with the mods' decision to make DJO SOTG. But can you at least spell his name right in the "Season SoG Tally?"

chapman

DJO was awesome in the first half.  Hopefully he can learn to dominate for 40 minutes instead of 20 and being an afterthought for 20.  Reminds me of DJ minus-the-O in his sophomore year.

mu_hilltopper

One vote for Mo.  6-6 Free throws, 8-9 shooting, team leading 23 points .. and he's a senior.

wardle2wade

Think you gotta give it to DJO... Acker's play was great, but DJO changed the game early on.  Safe to say he opened up scoring opportunities for others after his hot start.

Thank you.  Wasn't available when I filled it out and I was in a hurry.

Wasn't really an intended foul.
Mo stood his ground, raised his hand up straight in the air with almost no extension.
The shooter just moved forward toward his spot.
Ref made a judgment call on that one.

When my boys were young and I coached them in baseball, we used to give a game ball to one player each game.  I remember agonizing with the other coaches when a stud player went three for four with a home run two doubles and a couple of awesome defensive palys, and another poor kid who played his heart out every game, but just didn't have the talent would hit a dribbler to short and was called safe when the throw was dropped.  Not likely to reach base again all year.  we'd give him the game ball, because stud would have many other opportunities.  Maybe we give Acks the SotG???
