Maymon to Tennessee

According to a report in the Knoxville News-Sentinel, Jeronne Maymon is transferring to the University of Tennessee.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Maymon played nine games for the Marquette Golden Eagles before quitting in mid-December because of unhappiness with the position he was playing and the amount of minutes he was receiving.

The freshman forward averaged 4.0 points and 4.2 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game for MU. He missed one game, a 77-73 loss to North Carolina State on Dec. 5, because of a hip pointer. His last game at MU came, in a funny twist, in his hometown of Madison when the Golden Eagles lost at Wisconsin, 72-63, on Dec. 12.

Amazing all the high level walk ons for Tennessee.  Maybe Jeronne found a home.

TM was just too embarassed to show his face in Madtown after the loss and had to force his son to transfer.

If he didn't like his role at mu.  He's really going to hate it at Tennessee...hilarious

So Tennessee loses Lane Kiffin, but gains Tim Maymon ... thereby maintaining a balanced egomaniac ledger.

Love the fact that no one went out of their way to give him a free ride. Pay them bills Tim!
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Thirteen months from now Tim will be looking for another school for Jeronne after the younger Maymon goes off for no points and one rebound in five minutes against Florida. "That ain't what he does," Tim will complain.

Actually, Tenn fans should be thrilled to death.  If he was going to take that little Florida school to the Final Four, think what he can do with Tenn!  WOW.
