Johnson-Odom update

It turns out Darius Johnson-Odom did not aggravate the existing injury to his left foot against MSOE over the weekend after all, coach Buzz Williams said Tuesday morning.

According to Williams, Johnson-Odom had his foot stepped on by an MSOE player, and it was the top of the sophomore guard's foot that was troubling him, not the underside that had caused him to miss roughly six weeks of action previously.

Although the new injury is not considered serious, Johnson-Odom has not practiced since the game Saturday, and there remains the possibility he will sit out MU's opener Friday against Centenary, as Williams can't afford to risk losing what little depth he has in the backcourt at this point.

Very good news that he did not re-agrgravate the prior injury and it does not appear to be serious.  Excited to see what DJO has to offer for this team.

From the Media Relations blog-

"Sophomore guard Darius Johnson-Odom participated in Tuesday's workouts and will be ready for the season opener.  He has been slowed during the preseason with a foot injury."
