they'd still have to drop one more schollie if jodie meeks returns.  we recruited donald williams at one point i believe.

Correct.  Though the talk then was as a walk-on.

Based on the overall quality of this year's draft, or lack thereof, wouldn't it benefit to stay in for Meeks. 

I would assume his role, while still important for UK, would be somewhat diminished by the incoming talent.
