Whatever the case, MU senior Wesley Matthews has accepted an invitation to participate in the 21st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & Three-Point Championships this week at the Final Four in Detroit.

The contest, which will take place on Thursday at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich., airs on ESPN at 8 p.m.

Other confirmed competitors include Gonzaga's Jeremy Pargo and UW-Green Bay's Terry Evans.

Steve Novak won the men's three-point contest at this event in Indianapolis in 2006, and Travis Diener also participated in the three-point portion in St. Louis in 2005.
