I was actually listening on the radio and the radio announcer was pointing that vociferously that Duke got two huge gift calls at the end.

I was listening to sports talk radio this morning when a mid-major referee called in.  He has a friend at the major level who told him that the refs are afraid to make calls against a "name" coach because they feared for their job security!  He said if you check it there is a ref with the last name of "Moore" (I think) who does a lot of Duke games because coach k likes him.

I reiterate again I can't stand Duke.  However, why would the NCAA risk everything to help Duke?

And how did the officials help Duke the past few years during their struggles in the tourney?

The only one I saw was the phantom foul on the rebound with about 35 seconds left.  Game tied and Henderson (I think gets fouled on a rebound).  Huge play because he hit two, Texas comes down and misses a three.

I agree. Duck, soory, Duke, received two or three BJ calls from the refs in the last two minutes.
