I'm Not Worried Anymore

Man... Why do you even watch?  You are so po'ed because we lost to two of the best teams in the country.  Even with DJ, we were not going to be favored in these three games.  Even with DJ, we were not National Championship favorites, contenders, final four contenders, BE champs favorites, or even BE Tourney Champ favorites (from a media viewpoint).  

So are we worse off without DJ... without a doubt.  I think the point of the thread is that fans have been worried about how the team will play without DJ.  Going toe to toe with two of the best teams in the country means that there is some hope left in the season.  I think we will win against Cuse.  Get a bye bye (cus Nova will lose to ND). and we will win our first game of the BE tourney and pray for the best the rest of the way through.

Like I said, I don't really do the "feel good loss" column.  There's no asterisk next to a loss saying "well they played hard, and Mo Acker was really good with his 3 points and 3 assists in 32 minutes".  You play to win the game.  I'm far more pessimistic based on what I've seen, so I guess I'm going to disagree with just about everyone (Buzz and the NYT included) that we've shown anything to write home about.  I see a team that's now down to playing with four capable players, and those four might have the fight to play close games with anyone but they really don't have a chance to beat a lot of teams.  I hope I'm proven wrong, but I think it's going to take results, rather than effort, from someone other than exhausted seniors that are pressing too hard.

What were your expectations of a Dominic-less team prior to this game and now that you've seen them play a game with some minor preparation time?
