from me. That team they have in the booth for MNF is criminally bad. I can handle Jaws as he at least knows what he's talking about, but Tirico can't seem to stop talking, and Kornheiser is just an embrassment. The fact that I would actually prefer John Madden, pretty much says it all.

I realize things change, but MNF was an institution, and from Blowhole Chris Berman and Booya Stuart Scott doing the pregame, to those knuckleheads in the booth, like so much of ESPN's programming, it has become almost unwatchable.

They still do a decent job with college BB and FB, but I gotta believe those days are numbered as well.

I think Jaws is fine, but I can't stand Kornheiser.  His role is to tell people what the storylines of the game are before and during the game.  The problem with that is that he tends to exagerate the significance of games in the pregame (last nights game was a "playoff elimination game, really?) and is a distraction during the games.  Beyond that, he's not funny or entertaining in the least.

Putting Kornheiser in the booth was an attempt at synergy and to raise the profile of one of the networks signature shows --- PTI. Unfortunately, I think they picked the wrong guy. Wilbon is 100 times more likable than Kornheiser.

That and the fact that my buddy won a bet by setting the amount of times Kornheiser brought Favre into the discussion at 15...you bet your arse he covered.

I can't stand those guys.  They are PAINFUL to listen to.  They just sound like a bunch of babbling idiots.  They make sports broadcasting look bad.  I'll take Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren on the Packers' radio network any day.  Best in the business.  They make Jaws and Korn-hole sound like an absolute joke.

I have Sirius and on more than one occasion Larrivee is brought on to do the national broadcast-when the Packers aren't playing, of course-for NFL Radio with Boomer Esaison (sp?) for Westwood 1, he is by far, one of the better play by play guys I've heard.

True, but Wilbon does do some ESPN basketball coverage and is more of a bball guy than football.

After listening to Larrivee for years doing the bears games, he manages, at times, to get me almost excited for a packers game.  But then I have to tell myself to stop.  But he's one of the best, by far.

Forget the Ocho,

ESPNFavre is the next ESPN spinoff channel...all Brett all the Time...replay of the PeeWee football championship game Brett played in in 1978...and more exciting Brett stuff.

I can't stand any of them, but I actually have the biggest problem with Jaws.  If I wanted the detailed X's and O's of every play, I would have gotten into coaching.  Just show the replay normally.  Of course that would cause Jaws to be dead silent the entire game, but that's kind of the point.
