Title: 990-T IRA
Post by: MuggsyB on September 02, 2022, 05:29:37 PM
Do any of you have one?  Apparently 120K Americans who do had their information leaked by the IRS.

But more to the point, in language you can understand ...

Patently, demonstrably false!

An individual would only need to file a 990-T for an IRA if you have more than a $1,000 of unrelated business income.
This can happen, if you have an investment in a limited partnership in your IRA. Code 20V on a K-1 is unrelated business income. You would need to add up the amount on line 20V on all of your K-1's to see if it exceeds a $1,000. The average person will not have this.
990-T's are mostly filed by foundations and not for profits. In their case the most common unrelated business income is rent income and advertising income. In some cases, admission income can be considered unrelated business income. That is why you will see some admissions listed as a voluntary donation.

They are not close to being stupid.  You're probably the person who dropped off that innocent puppy in the middle of the road yesterday in Tennessee.

Ya...because visiting Tennessee and Great Smoky National Park with its surroundings really sucks.   Especially in the Fall.  Maybe you should get out more and stop criticizing innocent animals and States.

5 of 10

Interesting personal attack and not that humorous.  Disappointing effort.  Based on your knowledge of Tennessee, I am concerned for your immediate family

They're different.  Although I would say Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) is the most beautiful place I have been in autumn.

Yes New England is flat out awesome in the fall. Love that drive up through CT and into Vermont.

However, having spent a lot of time in Tennessee and The Smokies and it too is fantastic in the fall.

Some years better than others dependent on spring and summer rainfall, but driving through western North Carolina during the fall is very beautiful with the mixture of hardwoods and evergreens along with the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Probably many other beautiful fall locations in North America.

Yes.  Perhaps the most underrated place to visit or live in the entire country.

Hardly underrated.

More people visit the Smokies area than any other Park. And it’s not even close.
