I was going to post up all the great stories out of the BE Media Day, but Cracked Sidewalks does such a great job with their roundup .. just go there!

Here's one question put to rest.  Crean is no dummy.

No interest: The retirement of athletic director Bill Cords created an opening that is certain to attract plenty of interest from college administrators across the country.

One person who isn't interested in the job, though, is Crean.

"As far as any interest in that, there is none whatsoever," he said. "I'm very, very comfortable with everything that's going on at Marquette and have been for a long time. As this transition was being broached it was always in the best interests of Marquette - in my mind and in others' - to have someone running it solely.

"There's no way that I would ever see myself ready for a dual role or would want to do that right now."
