While I'm thrilled he's gone, the women in the Crean household, i.e. wife and daughter, were PO'd, I have it on good authority, to move to Bloomington.
And fwiw, Jack and Da Mrs. are likely to move to Baltimore where their son coaches the Ravens.
"honey, its indiana, its indiana...."
I wish I had sources who could tell me the private thoughts of former coaches' wives and children.
^^ you'd be a lot cooler if you did.
Thoughts weren't private. They were expressed. You just have to know the right folks.

I doubt any "right" folks close enough to the Creans to know the feelings of their 11-year-old daughter would be offering them up for public consumption.
I frankly don't give a crap what the rest of the family thinks. What do they think about finishing sixth in the Big Ten and being on national TV only twice next season?

Look I'm not going to debate this with you. You can choose to believe it or not. BTW, Megan is not 11, she's finishing 8th grade and entering high school in Fall.

Well, sure then that's fine. I mean, HS students are certainly reliable sources of information. Further, their private thoughts should be posted on the internet for all to read (assuming these are even her thoughts)
Hey, who wouldn't be pissed to have to move from Milwaukee to Bloomington, Indiana? I know I would be. And when you've been in one place and made friends for 9 years, it would really suck. For anybody.

It's Bloomington High, it's Bloomington High.
While I agree that leaving anywhere after 9 years would be difficult, but, that point aside, having lived in both places for 4 years, I would readily pick Bloomington over Milwaukee.

Depends what you want...Bloomington is a very nice city and not far from Indy if you need your "pro" fix or big city turn on.
I enjoyed Milwaukee as well. I think your friendship thing is the bigger point, plus kids in school and uprooting them. That's always tough, especially on the mom and kids.
It'll be even tougher when the kids have to move again in three years.

Its MSU. Its MSU. :D Bloomington may be 50 miles from Indianapolis, but, thats just it: a 100 mile roundtrip. A hassle. Bloomington is a small college town. fine if you like it. but, for kids its probably a drag. For Joani, she may well be tired of small towns after spending most of her life moving around from college town to college town?
Joanie's time in high school in a college town completely rocked, right Lurch? Still got those pictures?

your three options for fun:
1: go out to a cornfield and get drunk
2: go to IU and get hit on by college kids
3: go out to the quarry and watch kids risk their lives jumping from the rooftop
Great place to go to college, not so much for high school.

There are millions of high school students in this country that do just fine in small towns. I don't disagree with what you're saying, just that different folks want different things. Seems to me getting away from your friends is the biggest issue. Bloomington is big enough to find things to do but certainly Milwaukee has more to offer. I don't blame the girls for being upset for a number of reasons....at least they didn't move to Urbana. ;)

I almost choked on my lunch when I read that!
And yes I've been refraining from posting any pictures due to possible retaliation.
Bloomington, IN is fine, but I'd take Cedarburg WI over it and Zionsville, IN (where I live) any day of the week. Is there ANY body of water in central IN that isn't man-made?
And where the hell is Joani going to get her Kopp's fix now???????

Joani's gonna have to open up her own custard stand. She can call it "Crimson and Cream".

No...what the dirty shallow waters of Geist, Morse, Eagle Creek, and "Lake" Monroe aren't your cup of tea?
Ritter's Frozen Custard isn't bad

Ritter's is open only half the year, skimps on the ingredients and doesn't serve Kopp'sburgers!!!!! And Culver's isn't even close.
silly post topic. Anybody consult Crean's dog on how he felt about the move?
When I was a student at MU, I had a couple friends that attended IU and Bloomington isn't that bad, people....granted I was only there for a few days to visit them and take in the Wu Tang Clan and Rage Against The Machine concert in Indianapolis. But I personally thought Bloomington was a really nice place, gorgeous campus, and really nice shops around the university. I'm sure Tom and his family will adjust to life in Indiana just fine...I mean, for Christ's sake....It's Indiana! Now, let's please move on people.

IIRC, Crean's dog was sacrificed by an angry neighbor after the loss to Western Michigan in the 1st round of the 2005 NIT.
Or, am I thinking of Dan Devine's dog?

What a moronic post this is. Bloomington has 70,000 people...plenty big enough for high school kids to find stuff to do. Hell, I live in a town a fifth the size and my high school boys find plenty to do without needing to get drunk in a cornfield.

Cow tipping is a myth. An associated myth is that cows sleep standing up. :o

If you are thrilled he is gone why do you post about him or his family? Who gives a rats ass.
Just to keep the board informed, digging in his stuff, and generally ripping him a new one.
If you've read my postings over the years, then you would know my dislike for the departed is without compromise.

Get a life. Why don't you actually contribute to the board once in awhile instead of constantly making snide remarks? You're infatuation is that of a lover who got dumped. I wasn't the biggest fan of Crean's persona, but anybody who can't see he was the second best coach in the history of MU is just plain ignorant.
