It surprised me. I thought for sure the A-10 would rate higher. They have a lot of powerful programs in their ranks.
I think anywhere between 9 and 11 teams in the A10 would easily win the Big East.
The Big East will have to fall off a cliff in a huge way if they ever have to worry about how they compare to the A10. In a site full of useless threads, this tops them all.
Looking forward to the comparison against the Northeast conference.
We were warned about this.

I have to admit, if Flyer keeps up the long multi-colored posts, this will get tiresome quickly.
Related, SEC football expected to finish ahead of Big East football this season.

Yeah it's pretty embarrassing Dayton hasn't won an A-10 tourney since 2003 and has the same number of titles as Penn st

Yeah for a program that's convinced it's knocking on the door of a major big they haven't done much to earn it. It's really easy to forget how pedestrian their basketball history is when you just look at win counts but man is that padded by bad teams in a crappy conference.
While I get that there were some A10 fans that got a bit uppity during the BE split, overall I just don't get the animosity here. The A10 to mid majors is like the BE to the other high majors. We have more in common than not and I don't blame any A10 fan that has aspirations of joining the BE.

Cherry-picking rankings on a Marquette board to show Dayton as the better institution? Causes animosity.
He also full on hijacked holyland of hoops for a good two years. Dayton as a whole I don't really have any animosity toward, I think their online fandom thinks they're wayyyy better than they are but that's just more comical than anything.

The bolded is not accurate. Since 2014, the Big East has won four national championships - more than any other conference. The last time a current Atlantic 10 school won a national championship was 1963.
There are many other datapoints if you would like me to go on.

Meet a few more older alums and you'll get it.
Just as a reminder, we could only hope to be so lucky as to be invited to the A10 one day. Funny seeing this post and then looking at UDPride and their thread about what conference they could join next and how well their AD is positioning them for conference realignment.

I was referring to culturally and metaphorically/figurative way and how they're positioned in the college basketball world as a pure basketball centric conference.

Who cares? They're a one or two bid mid-major.

Agreed. I'd say with Gonzaga off the board (for now), there isn't a school in the A10 or anywhere that would not be considered a step back for the BE if added. Not to say that the BE would not do it if required. But Dayton or SLU or VCU would be a net loss, maybe small, but a loss none the less.
Actually, ND would be a gain for the BE if the ACC implodes.
