1. MU starts to pull away in the first half, Stevie gets his second foul, stagnation ensues.
2. Of course, part of the problem in the first half was clanging free throws.
3. Zaide and Tre combine to be an adequate 8th man in the rotation.
4. Kam appears to be healed.
5. Stevie back to start the second half. Necks were stomped on.
6. No one not named Kam Jones looked good from 3.
7. Kolek messing around and getting a double double.
8. An appropriate show for the 74 team.

We had a walk on make a basket!!!
I see why Shaka like Tre. He is always in the right place defensively. He needs to get stronger and develop more of a varied offensive game, but he looks like he belongs.
There was a stretch early in the 2nd half where Jop shot a 3 it was so bad it hit the top of the backboard, Marquette got the rebound kick it out to Lowrey for 3 which airballed, got the rebound again and got hit with a shot clock violation. Luckily we were up by 30 already and it was a laughable moment. Buy yes, anyone but Kam was bad from 3.
Yeah, I changed the title. This one is better.

Badly missed shot....or bad pass......hands on ball....ends up in Tyler's hands.....pass.....score......rinse and repeat.
Tre does a nice job using his body strength to create space when he goes in for a lay up. Going to be a solid player in the coming years.

I thought Kam had a different bounce today. His downhill attacks were quicker and I saw more balance in his J. When Kam is in you can't guard me mode, MU becomes exponentially more dangerous.
Maybe he is fully healed from his ankle sprain.
Seemed like an easy win. Like we weren't even trying very hard.

For sure Muggs.
I think Kam is the biggest key to the end of the season for Marquette.
His microwaveability is second to none, as is his ability to completely go broke and disappear unfortunately.
IMO the biggest key for Marquette in the end of the season stretch is getting Kam going and comfortable from 2. He was that today. When Kam makes it look easy going to the hoop, things open up for him from beyond the arc, and when his shot goes down usually (not tonight) the others outside shot starts to go down too.
Fun game today, really glad I attended and brought my wife and 3 year old.

Dr.V,
I know this going to sound like nitpicking, especially after his performance this afternoon, but Kam can get any shot he wants in open space. My point is that I would like to see him take (and drain) a few stop and pops from inside the paint after the initial blow-by. Jenkins from SJU did that beautifully vs Creighton.
The result from making that shot on occasion, and we have seen him do it, will be very similar to what Krill are thinking before a Blue Whale approaches their general area. In other words a feeling of total helplessness, and the understanding that nothing can be done to prevent inevitable death. Imo that's what hitting that shot every so often can do for our offense.

I don't disagree, Goose, take em when you can.
One sign Kam is feeling better is the way Tyler has approached the last two games. Neither were really in doubt, and he made it a point to be a distributor first, second, and third.
He'll get his when it counts, but if Kolek gets the others into a groove when it's win-or-go-home, this team can be very dangerous.
I wasn't at Fiserv, so I can't speak to the vibe there, but I thought the team played with an incredible amount of energy. We beat Xavier to almost every loose basketball, and our guys made several outstanding plays just with their hustle.
Chase Ross didn't score a single point tonight, but his dive to the floor to grab the ball and then flip it up-court to Kam for the layup was the play of the night IMHO.
We also got great hustle plays from Kolek, Jop, Gold, Lowery, Norman and of course Stevie. Effen Stevie was Mr. Energy every second he was on the court.

Was at the game and the hustle was some of the best we have seen all year. Terrific to see , with some outstanding results as you pointed out.
Flew in to MKE for this one. Disappointed with the low-key crowd and so many empty seats. Also did not like the tacky "Make Noise" prompts on the Jumbotron nor the smarmy "events" during time outs. Thought I was in Providence at times.

I get your point, but their way of utilizing midrange is 8-10 foot floaters by TK, Oso and sometimes Stevie. If those shots are going down, no need for any pull up jumpers.
I think Jop is going to hit that 10 footer at a much higher clip next year. It looks comfortable. And I wouldn't be surprised to see it from Stevie either. I don't think Kam will have that in his game.

I'm totally amped Dr.V!! We're in perfect position for a #2 seed and may even be able to snag a #1! We obliterated Xavier and have every opportunity to take care of business to close the regular season. I believe things will be kicked up a notch starting Wednesday.

MU becomes much more difficult to guard if we take and make that shot. It changes the geometry of our offense. It will create better overall shots in our h-c offense imo. And while I get analytics, I also saw what happened to Creighton today. As for the stop and pop I'm essentially talking about Kam utilizing it on occasion.
It's unreasonable to expect an electric atmosphere during a 30 point blow out.

Far from the best environment this year, but it was fine. Crowd had decent juice in the first half once MU found its footing. By the time people got back with their halftime bevvies the lead was almost 20.

Reasons the crowd, and Scoop, was pretty quiet:
*Late Sunday afternoon tip
*Once Marquette asserted itself, the outcome was pretty obvious
*Nothing controversial - no bad calls, no injuries
*Lots of big games upcoming.
Also, people might have used this as a chance to bring younger kids due to the time on the weekend. I know myself and a few friends did.

I appreciate that Kam let Scoop of the hook. Under ordinary circumstances, his 34 against DePaul would have warranted SOTG status. But TyKo made sure that the game was anything but ordinary. I know a lot of us felt a little bad about not picking Kam after that 34-point outburst, but we just
had to recognize TyKo's record. So Kam just said, "No problem...I'll do it again."

Can confirm was a low energy crowd. Besides the Sunday afternoon tip and lack of drama, I think the other reason is that we missed a lot of threes, more bunnies than usual, and we went to the stripe lot (and missed). While we consistently built the lead, we didn't have any explosive offensive runs. There was always a missed shot right when the place was ready to blow. Kept the crowd from ever going off
I was at the game and picked up tickets in section 102 three weeks ago. Cannot figure why four rows of seats were empty behind the student section in front of us. Those were really good seats to see empty! Good and entertaining game to watch and be there for my MU student daughter.

I see a couple flaws in your plan:
- You've disclosed it publicly and now one of us is going to steal it from you.
- Perhaps more importantly, if this is any indication, nobody is going to know what the hell your fortunes mean. This board is -- I believe -- the origin of the COLE thing and pretty much every single week someone on here asks what it means. I'm not sure that a subset of 'Scoop is a broad enough audience to support your fortune cookie ice cream business.
