ESPN play-by-play shows 0 points in final 9:08 and only 3 in the final 13:12. 13 minutes of play and the ball went threw the hoop 1 time.
13 second half points
Yes but UWs offensive play style is still attractive to the youths
that is incredible...ly brutal!! last point was with 9:08 remaining??
maybe that was the players parting gift to gard
Maybe McIntosh will "Dis-Gard" Gard in Vegas after that showing :)

So hold up a second...the box score I see reads that the Rodent-Weasels scored 13pts in the 2H? I's my math accurate? Is this a NIT record?
I love how Badger fans were holding up that win over Liberty like a holy relic when Liberty only advanced because Nova sat their two best players. Shows you what most programs think of the NIT. Also making a big deal out of Crowl's 36-point first round game. A truly bad year for them, but you know they really, really wanted to win that second rate, low rent tournament.

I read that apparently Gard is going to be "very active" in the Portal. Should we be concerned about this? I thought that's "not how they do things" there? Not surprising when you only have 5 major conference caliber players on your roster. It's a miracle they won as many games as they did with how bad their bench was.
I don't have any confidence in Gard in being able to effectively navigate the modern recruiting landscape.

As a teenager, I worked in the New Orleans area of Opryland, and I befriended most of the musicians that played Dixieland jazz there. Quite a number of them were students or graduates of UNT (back then it was called North Texas State). Pat Richter hit a home run when he hired Dick Bennett which slowly began the reversal of 45+ years of embarrassing failure. Bo Ryan expanded that success.
If the new AD goes out to hire a new coach, who's to say they don't stumble on to the next up and coming Shaka Smart or next Tony Bennett or Tom Izzo.

IF there is a high-level coach that would leave for Wisconsin, then that person is Tony Bennett. Especially if Virginia has a down year or a late-season "collapse" like they did this year and he feels a little heat. People in Charlottesville might eventually get tired of the Bennett style of play, but it would be popular in Madison.
I'd put this at about a 5% chance, but it is possible.
