No way there are 8 more deserving teams in the country.
Now the real games start.
15 seeds will be licking their chops.
2 is deserved; 3 gives us the chip.
MU did everything required to get a 2 seed.

3's been good to us before.
I can't see us getting anything but a 2. 19 of our last 21.
Deserve a 2. We'll see what happens.
Solid 2. Not a weak 2 like some on here say.
How could it not be? #6 going into the BET and won it...
Texas win hurt. Believe we get the first number 3 in the curve. They deserve a 2, but we will see tomorrow. Fun and makes Sunday Selection more exciting.
But I will be getting one of those championship tee shirts.....nice.
We just on a Regular Season and Tournament of one of the top 4 Conferences. We earned a 1 seed .

I agree with this analysis
Got a bit emotional during Shaka's speech.
When the NCAA 16 reveal came out, I said if we won out and won the BET we would get a 2 seed absent some very bad luck elsewhere.
We haven't seen the very bad luck. I stand by what I said then when I looked at all the games left and how teams were going to beat up on each other especially in the Big 12. I fully expect a #2 seed.
If we are a #3, then I was wrong. And winning it all will be all the more special.

I've thought all along they were getting a 3.
After tonight, I think they snag the last 2.
1 seed..fook 'em

Up to 47 in KenPom. 🔥 Significant progress from December - that's damn impressive
Better to be #1 3 seed or #4 2 seed?
Rico
You have seen their D in stretches and knew they could play lockdown D. Defense will win then a game in NCAA and the bench another one. These guys can play D and I think they can play better D.
Two seed, Three seed who the heck cares. We are going to the Tournament and make some noise.

last #2 probably goes to Des Moines. So that.
Tonight was a statement game. They came in with the intention of demoralizing Xavier to show everyone who the best team in the conference really was, and they did it. Whether they're a 2 or 3 seed, I think they do the same in the first round of the NCAAs. Whoever plays them will be running into a buzz saw.
Really impressed, they could make some noise in ncaa. Freshman are growing up, o max and Stevie are lock down defenders, Tyler improving rapidly as a scorer, jop improving his ability to play defense. People saying bully ball will beat them don't know their heart!
Look out ncaa!!

You and me both.
After 45 years since we were last this good, through all the ups and downs, we stuck with them. And so, with more confidence than ever before, we can honestly say...
WE'RE BACK!!!!!
dgies
We are back and watching Shaka brought tears to me eyes. I hope every MU fan is proud tonight.
I am amazed at how freaking good this team is.
I am having trouble processing how good we could be in the future.
Hell yeah!!!!!
Well, if Baylor gets a 2-seed ahead of us, it will put a chip on the teams shoulder.

BTW - it won't be a 9th place prediction next year. ;D

I'll take a 3-seee in the region with Baylor
Whatever gives us a chip, I'm in favor of.
Guaranteed a Number 1 or 2 Seed:
Alabama
Purdue
Houston
Kansas
Texas
UCLA
Leaves: Two spots left
MU
Arizona
Baylor
Gonzaga ?
Arizona if they beat UCLA in PAC12 tournament. If they lose, MU should pass Arizona.
No way should Baylor beat out MU, a conference champ and who beat Baylor.
So, changed my prediction to MU with #2 seed designation.
Don't care. Let's kick arse.

I don't want that pressure, 2 seed seems very right for this team, and still allows them to be a bit under the radar.
There is 0 reason for Marquette to be behind Baylor.
Absolutely none.
This is a guy whose opinions I value more than Lunardi's.

Well, I've mentioned this before: If by chance that #2 seed comes down to MU or Baylor the committee is going to have a really tough time choosing Baylor. My take is if Zona loses tonight we're a lock #2. If they win it's either us or Gonzaga.
1 seed? No.
2 seed? No.
3 seed? Not a chance.
Give us a 16 seed and we'll just put Kansas down by 20 a couple weeks ahead of schedule.

Hate pulling for Mick Cronin, but it must be done.
2 seed or we turn them down and go to the NIT.
We 1000% deserve a 2 seed. Challenge is that so do about 7 other teams (not including the 4 1 seeds). We have done everything we can to make our case since the reveal. We have made the committee's decision very difficult.

I'm of a different mindset.
I think we've made the committees decision very easy.
We haven't lost since the reveal, and we've won two championships.
2 seed, otherwise what Tyler said.
They are a 2 seed ...
But, if the committee gives them a 3 .. it will only piss them off, and that's fine
unnatural carnal knowledge. UCLA loses in the final minute. That likely locks Arizona as a 2 seed.
It's down to 3 teams for 1 2 seed. Baylor, Gonzaga, and Marquette. If the committee largely disregards conference tournaments, it's Baylor. If the committee considers conference tournaments, it's Marquette. If the committee is drunk, it's Gonzaga.
No matter what the decision....Bill Walton is f#cking nuts

Bill is absolutely nuts. When he said that Washington was a NCAA Tournament team I couldn't stop laughing.
Personally, I think MU is as close as possible to a 2. I think they've passed Baylor. Gonzaga is extremely close.
It's borderline disrespectful to have Walton continuing to cover these games. You have a top ten match up in the Pac 12 tournament championship, and a complete sideshow as an analyst.

After a while, his screwing around gets old, especially his "conference of champions" echo.
I have enjoyed some of his humor, but he insists on being the center of attention
all the time. It's as if the game he covers is a distraction. One of his best quips was when he asked Lunardi why he was spending so much time talking about "truckstop conferences".

Panda,
I thought this potential scenario would be on the table and agree with you 100%. Is a committee member really going to be able to justify Baylor over MU for a #2 after we pummeled them to submission? We decided to go medieval that game and I will go medieval at the committee people if Baylor winds up a 2 and we are a 3. :)

I would have a hard time accepting Baylor getting a two over us. Gonzaga would surprise me, but at least we did not whomp them
yet. Actually, if the top 3 gets a game against the 4th two, I would like to play Gonzaga.
