My wife and I will be heading down assuming we win on Saturday. If we lose, I'm not sure I'll put myself through the stress.
Marquette used to run buses down to Rosemont for alumni and students. That seems to have fallen by the wayside at the Winnie.
Yes. Does Reggie's have the bus go to the stadium like they do for Sox games?

4 blocks in yesterdays temperature is easy. 4 blocks in tomorrows expected temperature is not, just trying to plan. But I should probably get used to walking outside in the cold again as my return to work is impending so yeah I'd be up to head to Reggie's for a cerveza and wings.

I'd walk > 20 degrees. I'm not trying to win a quality of ice cream contest. You old folks always gotta make everything about how many hairs your still have on your chest. you put hot sauce and nails on your ice cream to make it as uncomfortable as possible too?
But seriously should I be using a different weather app? I've found the Apple one to be pretty unreliable.

Being in Chicago, I have to assume any bus will involve masking.

It's a restaurant owned bus. Given the game is March 2, the mask likely will not be required for bars/restaurants unless they choose to starting March 1 (at least the mandate was going away on that date before I was on vacation).

The mask & vaccine mandate ends on Monday, unless Wintrust has their own rules. I doubt Reggie's has rules, they're too punk rock for that.
Reggies is the place to pregame. I posted here back in 2019 I believe. Bar was packed with blue and gold.
Chicken wings are incredible...I think they are the best in the City. Good strong drinks...good beer selection. Roof Top deck is open...so is main bar.
Take the free shuttle bus to WinTrust.
Forget Krolls or wherever else ....

It's like the absolute best shandies/spritzes you've ever had, complex, acidic. Knocks my socks off. I think they have a tasting room, but if you're from WI maybe just stash a 12 pack in your car for the drive home.

Would 100% recommend trying them, though the bones have a tendency to break because of how slowly they're cooked.

Didn't know they were down there! I really loved the Pinot Noir sour I had at one of my neighborhood bars. Really great stuff--I am hoping the bar gets the sav blanc sour on tap for spring/summer.

Took the Marquette Bus in 2020 right before covid. Believe Covid might be the reason for no bus this time but not sure. Drove down from Milwaukee in 2019 for the MU DP game and for the TBT games was not bad.

Plan to be there. Non Marquette daughter has apt at Michigan and Roosevelt. Plan to be at hotel for pregame and got tickets directly from DePaul. Lower level corner near MU bench.
We've laid an egg in this game several times over recent years at Rosemont and I think here. Looking for a decisive if not commanding win but we HAVE to win this one for our own self-respect.... Can't relax.
Looking to enjoy the game and MU win.

Use ParkWhiz or Spot Hero to find some parking a few blocks away. Easy Peasy.
If using Spothero be conscious of the location. They have spaces under the el tracks which can be a little eerie by the time the game ends.

One arena is 15 miles away, the other is 7. Google maps says to arrive at Wintrust by 7:30pm tonight you should allow 35 minutes travel time. For the Allstate they recommend 45 minutes travel time from campus for 7:30pm.

I think she was referring to MU's campus. 21mi difference, issue with student busses sitting on the Kennedy for an extra while they linger in traffic.

Apathy can't be cured by an on campus arena. But there's seriously no argument that someone can make that the Allstate would be more attractive for students unless they are specifically talking about student who commute from Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Arlington Heights etc.
