With Cam Brown seeing his first action of the year(I believe) vs. PC......no longer a prospective redshirt candidate?
Was that ever the plan?
Can he still redshirt with limited minutes?
He also logged a minute against Jackson State. Is Cam brown a walk on?

He is a walkon.
He's not on the scholarship table.

Except weird cases like Covid year, "redshirt" is simply a description of someone who doesn't play a single second. Step on the court for a second of game action, it's off the table
The ability to play a limited number of games was on the table this summer but was never implemented.

You can play up to four games in college football and still redshirt.
Itajere was in the box score for one minute too. There must be a change in the redshirt rule.
Or a typo.
Can Brown is a walk on, hope he only plays mop up duty for 4 years! But if the kid turns out to be player more power to him.

Nope. No change. He might have been in "a boxscore I found on the internet", but not per the NCAA.
Yeah he didn't play.

He has not played
I stand corrected. I was at the game and did not see him on the court, but I swear he was listed in the Milw JS box score yesterday. I have the print version at home--I'm going to look it up tonight to make sure my brain is still working properly.

Yep, he was listed in the JS printed box score.

He's not listed now
Thank you Chucky!
Thank you for the clarification.
I find it slightly strange that Itejere is in uniform for the games and participates in warmups. Typically redshirt players would be in street clothes on the bench.
New coach, new rules.

Really no reason to not suit up. He can and should be ready to play if the absolute worst case scenario pops up.

Agree, I also feel that it helps him feel likes he part of this year's team. these are the small things Shaka is doing to try to build a "culture".
By the way, is it just mean or is anyone else getting sick of the word "culture" haha. I've heard it more this year than ever before.
It was a complaint before that MU did not have a system or culture. It is appropriate to now be tired of hearing about system and culture.

Smart decision (no pun intended). Being in uniform reflects the fact that he's available to come off the bench if necessary, however unlikely it may be.

"It's mean" to have him suit up and feel apart of the team he practices and lives with nearly 24/7 even if he isn't going to play? And thats assuming that he and Shaka have no dialogue and he's completely in the dark about his status hoping for a morsel of playing time. Thats just ridiculous

Shaka has even said that he wants Keeyan to get used to the gameday routine and conduct himself as if he will play.
