K. Jones will be prime-time scorer for MU in due time. He has that scoring in bunches gene, it's just going to take a bit of time to put it all together.
I wouldn't classify that as bold, personally.

Perhaps you're correct. You can see the potential explosiveness.
I'll go one step further and say that Kam Jones and David Joplin will be a very good scorers at MU.
Stevie Mitchell will be a very good PG at MU.
Hopefully all 3 stay for many seasons

Not just that but he has the mindset as well. Dude is not shy.

I think he's beginning to pick his spots a little better. He had 5 dimes tonight and only took one bad shot. His mentality is to score and that's fine but it's about playing in the half-court which is always a process for a young player. He's very good already in open space.
What excites me is that I think he can play on or off the ball and will figure out how to attack to score or create off the bounce with the high screen. Truthfully he may very well be a kid, if given the opportunity, that should take 10 shots a game right now.
On this roster I think Morsell and Jones have to look to score . Kolek has shown to be able to zip passes and control tempo but isn't really a scorer off the dribble. We have 6 guards that can all contribute but I'm tempted to play Kam 25 mins a game and just give him the keys. I may be wrong but I like his mindset and confidence out there.
Shaka has said that Kam could take Jerel's spot in MU's all time scoring list. If I can find the article again, I'll post it. I might have been a tweet
Both Kam's game and on-court mentality suggest that he eventually will be Marquette's go-to guy. I'm thinking next season, but who knows ... could even happen before this one's over.

Our definitions of bold are different.

Kam Jones – Will gun.. really like the prospects for the future, but year 1... I see volatility city. He may put up 24 and we'll have people saying he needs to be the focus of our offense every night.. then the next game he'll go 3-14 and people will complain he shoots too much. A really good season from him boosts our outlook, but tough to count on a lot of consistency.

I think we all expect inconsistency. The point is he has the tools to be an explosive scorer and plays without fear or hesitation. As I stated, it will take some time.
No doubt the kid is not bashful and I think he plays a big time role down the road. If Shaka can get this team to effectively use the press Jones could be a very useful in the transition game. He definitely is going to score a lot of point at MU and in a true transition offense he could put up really big numbers.

Is this really a new thread? Is this really a bold prediction?
When I saw the thread title, I thought it was Ners boldly predicting that Cain would be an NBA All-Star as a rookie.
This is just Muggsy starting another thread.
I have a bold prediction as well......Kur is going to be a great shot blocker for us this year. I really think he has what it takes!

We just wish Kur would be a great shot block all game long. He seems to disappear for long stretches.

That's not bold.
