Thanks for checking in, Amal, and for reminding us of your ridiculous dunk!
Amal had a couple of nasty dunks on me at the rec one time I got stuck "guarding" him. I hit a couple of 3s on him though!
Amal choked up over these great memories. Thanks everyone! Very humbling.
D Wade. UK. Elite 8.
The "and 1" against Kentucky is Wade's most memorable dunk but his dunk against East Carolina was his best in a Marquette uniform.
Henry threw tons of great alley oops to Wade, too. My favorite was the reverse jam at DePaul.

Have never seen the East Carolina dunk again after seeing in person. Does MUOverload have access to it? Was there no TV that game?
I'm probably in the minority but I don't think Wade's dunk vs. UK was great. The moment was awesome, but remove the situation and I wouldn't put it in the top 20.

was that an alley-oop? i remember a wade dunk on an alley-opp against a forgettable team, and i had pretty good seats right behind the wall for the admirals game so i was at player level. the ball went up, no one could really see wade as he had a wall in front of him, and he just rose up above everyone else out of what seemed like nowhere. it's one of those plays when you realize the unbelievable athleticism, coordination, timing, speed, power, etc.

My memory has it as a MJ dunk contest leaner style. There were lots of other incredible alley oops though. Memories are weird though, not sure if I have it right.

There it is! The one against DePaul was the best I've seen. Apparently he ripped his fingernail off on the rim. I was there at the Rosemont and that dunk had everyone out of their seat. No tv so I never got to see a replay of it but it was insane!

Best missed dunk was Burton against Wisconsin Lutheran. Don't think it was even televised, but he put so much force into it, the ball shot up off the rim a good 30-40 feet straight up. It was seriously more impressive than had he finished it.

Yes—if I recall it was an over and back because the missed dunk came all the way out to half court. Or something similar to that.

I've often wondered if the fact that only the 11,000 in attendance actually saw the dunk added to the mystique of it.
My dad and I were sitting in 410, which was on the opposite end of the floor. Wade drove left baseline and took off from what I thought was an absurd distance. Nope. One hand hammer on Moussa Badiane, who was the leading shot blocker in the conference.

I was at the opposite end in the student section and many of us didn't cheer, we were stunned and in awe of what we had just seen. Then the pic came out and it showed how incredible it really was.
Wade's reverse ally oop at DePaul later that season was also incredible. Cordell put up the pass and then Wade went reverse and it was a total "holy s--t" moment.

I was at that Marquette-DePaul game at the Allstate Arena where late in the game Cordell through an alley-oop to D-Wade who caught the ball with his back to the hoop for the reverse jam. Wade happened to cut his finger on the rim. The oohs and ahhs could be heard for a few minutes.
Recently I received a phone call from Cordell who let me know that he has been looking for a tape of that particular game. I let him know that I had it and made a copy for Cordell, for which he was grateful.
Fortunately, I was at the game that day and had my father-in-law videotape the game.
