What realistic candidates fit here?
Pitino gets pretty olive when he comes outta the Miami sun

I don't care if the new coaches skin is black, white, green, yellow, or red. But so help me God if they hire a purple-skin.
Next coach will be African American. Take it to the bank. It will be the quickest road to respectability, hey?
It's called racism. But that's become vogue.

I certainly think it should be considered. Adding diversity to any organization is going to make it better.

I wouldn't say our program has lacked diversity
Diversity of color or diversity of character/beliefs? Identifying someone by their color is very condescending.

Isn't that.... the definition of racism? Choosing one of two equal candidates for the same position strictly based on the color of his skin?

But calling a girl a c*nt isn't? maybe when it comes to condescending you don't have a leg to stand on.

So you are arguing for a post-ethnic society? Identifying someone by their color is not at all condescending. Pretending to be color blind is...

Identifying by color assumes similar experiences/statuses and is extremely tribalistic.

Diversity of all types always makes an organization stronger.
Anyway, Marquette should run a thorough search. Hopefully it will lead to the best candidate for the job.

Is color the only diversity? I swear they try to make people more primal.
Fwiw, I'm all for hiring a black/brown/beige coach if they have the best attributes. Just don't look at their color to decide.

It doesn't, but you can argue for a post-ethnic society if you want. It's a fair argument, but most BIPOC people do not support it. So you would either be arguing for a post-ethnic society or a color-blind society. You let me know what one...
