Amazing how many have seen the light. We're all just waiting him out at this point. He's the same trash coach he was the day he was hired.
Get him a donut and a coffee.
May be bottoming out here the rest of the way. I don't see many more wins.
Arkansas Pine Bluff's coach is Wojo without Markus.

This goes well beyond well beyond Wojo.
Basically every coach in America with a guard with Cartons athleticism and talent would play out that final possession.
95% of guards with Carton's skillset are taking that ball to the hole with absolute no hesitation. Unfortunately he would probably miss the free throws but thats a different issue.
You gotta have dogs that want the moment as a coach too.

I mean a coach is never solely responsible but nah this is mostly Wojo. Different season, different players, same shiit results

Looking to be 3 years in a row. Although, these "late season collapses" are starting to begin earlier and earlier in the year. It's over though. You can tell Wojo doesn't have this team anymore. No leadership out there either from the players. Talented kids so you'll see good plays like Cartons dunk, but will still end with the loss.
Don't think wojo can coach 8th grade.
I think the BOT and Admin may be starting to sweat a little. They were probably hoping for something similar to last year, where we were just mediocre enough for Wojo to squeak by. That way they could justify giving him one more post-pandemic year and wait until March 2022 to deal with it. However, with the way things are going now, it may be so obvious Wojo has to go that they'll either have to can him or face holy hell from the STHs and fan base in general.

agreed. Hard to call it a collapse when you weren't good to begin with. Then it's just...bottom feeding? I dunno, not a good state we're in

Agreed. Seat is getting warmer by the game.
The thing is SOP is an extension for recruiting purposes. They either have to drop him now or give him something.
But even a year will go over very poorly at this point.

Fiserv with fans next season will be UGLY. People are worried about a fan walk out. It'll probably be worse if fans stay the entire game.
Wojo's not going anywhere.

Whats the buyout?

OK, first political warning of your "young" posting life. Don't do it.
The seat is getting warm. Money talks. He was already getting booed at home games last year. Imagine if we had fans this year. My guess is that he is around next year but my God if there are fans in the stands, its going to get ugly next year.
No rational person could watch our last two games and think our head coach is doing a good job. We need to start the process tomorrow.

Seems like a nice guy, friendly, father-type, etc. He's not cut out for competing at a P6 school as a head coach.
My take is the tremendous MU fans are done. Book it. If a change is not made you will see Fiserv 1/2 full at best. This simply cannot continue.

We'd hire some assistant somewhere anyway and start the 4 year rebuild. We won't go get a hot D1 head coach. So it appears the program is in trouble. Wojo needs an ex head coach on the bench who might help.
Yeah, I'm at the point where I *might* try to attend the UCLA or Nova games if they're on a Saturday. Other than that, I don't have any interest in going until we have a new coach.

Doubt if those bozos have the sacks to pull the trigger on this crapshow. "Sweat a little"? Doubt if they even would sweat if somebody pushed a hand grenade up their kielbasa. This program is assuming the circular swirl down the toilet and if somebody has not figured that out by now, condolences

I definitely anticipated some ups and downs. The Creighton and UW wins got my hopes up a bit. But we aren't improving as the year goes on. It's not that we are making young mistakes. We are maki by the same mistakes as every Wojo team does.

I don't see a lot of defending of the indefensible here. This guy is trash. Wow he can recruit! Too bad he can't coach those recruits. His record speaks for itself. He stinks, fact. Time to move on.

This. I'm glad I don't have to be part of the decision. As a fan, I'm totally ready to move on from Wojo, even though the likely major shake up of the team scares the bejesus out of me.
Yet, as someone who hopes to see MU ride out the financial crises associated with COVID, I hate to take on additional financial burden involved with a buy-out and the hiring of a new coach.
It's a shi**y dilemma. Just like whether to keep watching games this season. I don't know what I'd do if I'm decision maker about the coach, but I will keep watching. With booze.

He's not a terrible coach. It would be easier if he was truly terrible.
But he's not good enough and he should be let go as soon as the university is able.

It's frustrating to think that Wojo may have never had a clue what he was doing running this program. He has stumbled his way into varying degrees of success, I but it's worth reflecting on whether that success was largely a product of player talent rather than any game planning. Now, the player talent is either missing or disengaged, so his own lack of talent is more obvious than ever. I'm tempted to watch his older press conferences to determine if there is anything behind the eyes. I don't think there is. The incomprehensible decisions he has made make more sense when you start to realize he has been exploring a new land without a map. It's like when you're trying to weigh whether someone is an eccentric genius or just a crazy person. They almost have to crap the bed before you can make a final decision. It ticks me off that he has steered the program so far off course for so long.

1. Two ranked teams
2. They've played 15 games, give me a break
3. Sounds like an excuse. How is it hard to prepare? They still have all the time and facilities. There is as much equal footing in cbb this year as there usually is.
