Nick Lachey didn't actually go to Cincinnati;he's just a dork.

"Growing up in Ohio, Nick attended Cincinnati's well-regarded public School for Creative and Performing Arts, developing his vocal talent and aspiring to become an entertainer. After graduation, he began studying at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in sports medicine. "

Yes, my only post has been to correct someone on where Nick Lachey went to college.

I grew up in Milwaukee and remember Sidney Moncreif as being one of the first prominent ballers to weight train, but man, look at Big O (yes that was his nickname).  What a freakin' stud.  I believe he played in the late 50's early 60's at Cincy.

That is correct.  Purdue is the cradle of Astronauts and Quarterbacks.  Over 20 astronauts including Gene Cernan, Armstrong, Gus Grissom.  QB's from Purdue have won 3 Super Bowls, more than any other school and passed for more combined yards in the NFL than any school.

You are completely right, except for the fact that Purdue QB's have won 4 Super Bowls. And 2 schools have won 3. And 3 others have won 4. And Notre Dame's won 5. But other than that, completely right.

Notre Dame: 5 (Montana 4, Theismann)
Purdue: 4 (Griese 2, Dawson, Brees)
Alabama: 4 (Starr 2, Namath, Stabler)
Louisiana Tech: 4 (Bradshaw 4)
Stanford: 4 (Plunkett 2, Elway 2)
UCLA: 3 (Aikman 3)
Michigan: 3 (Brady 3)

My reference was about unique people, not one guy from the same school winning multiple (i.e. Bradshaw, Montana, Aikman).  That's why the Cradle of Quarterbacks moniker, because it hasn't just been one guy but several.

We have three unique players that have done it.  I completely forgot about Stabler's Alabama roots.  So will restate to say tied with Alabama, the most Super Bowls won from one school with unique quarterbacks.

So it's no longer the cradle of quarterbacks - more like the twin bed.

No, still is the cradle of quarterbacks.  I should have originally said no school has more Super Bowl winning quarterbacks instead of saying the most.  We share it with Alabama.  Our QBs have thrown more yards, more starts and more touchdowns in the NFL of any school.

Cradle of Quarterbacks was trademarked by the school.

should have known hoopaloop is a purdue guy.  greatest collection of dorks and losers anyone will ever meet, on with out a doubt the ugliest campus in academia.  Purdue is the epitome of the C student that ends up at a catchall state school.  They like to reference their engineering school, granted it is good, but what?, 1 in hundreds is in the eng. school.

Additionally the saying.." Purdue ...helping keep ugly girls out of Indiana University", is so true

Well, I am an engineer and we have a fantastic Engineering school.  Yes, the women are not great.  At Marquette they weren't either.

Purdue is ranked as a better school than Marquette (and IU) so while you are slamming other posters, you may want to consider what data to use in your attacks.  Using capitals to begin sentences would also help.  The campus is ugly, MU's is no prize either.

Why should I leave as I am a Marquette graduate, too.  You slam Purdue graduates by using opinion as evidence that actually puts MU in an even lesser light when presented with virtually all ranking systems of schools.  You are called out on it and then you ask the person to leave when presented with this contrary information.  See anything wrong with your approach?

Eaaaaaaaaasy Canadian Dimes.  I married into a Purdue family and am a huge Boiler tailgating fan (their football team has seen better days).  The investments in new buildings, the Biomedical Engineering school, Life Sciences program, etc is among the most impressive in the country.  Their academic reputation is rock solid, and the future for that University continues to be amongst the best.

As a Marquette fan, you should look yourself in the mirror.  Hell...I could count the number of good looking girls on campus during my years @ MU ('95-'99) on one hand.  I'm glad to see that has changed for the better.

Don't know how this thread turned to a discussion about the merits of Purdue.  Your comments carry no value - even Stevie Wonder would agree that IU has a more attractive female enrollment (I'd put IU girls in the top 4 with ASU, UNC, Florida).  I owe it to my wife & experiences in West Lafayette to speak up.
