As we've seen the conversation around the Hausers changing, fading somewhat and becoming more stratified, flash poll on where you are in the stages of grief?  A week ago Monday I'm sure we were all at shock and disbelief.  How far have you moved on?

We are going to have a very strong team next season. Jamal and Brendan are going to give us an athletic dimension we need . Greg and Koby will enhance that athleticism further. We will have great team chemistry with everyone focused on a goal of winning
The Big  East.

The angst is somewhat amusing in that I was over it after a day at the most. If there's one thing I've learned from Scoop it's that players transfer. Every year, expect it. If the Hauser's hadn't, someone else would have. Sure it's somewhat unexplainable (and will likely remain so for the foreseeable future) but once it happened...time to move on. Plus will make for a more entertaining offseason.

So I voted Arby's.

I know this post was made in jest, but thinking back, I legitimately went through all these stages. After hearing the Hausers were gowne, I remember saying it can't be true, then saying to some friends that Wojo needed to make whatever promises he needed to keep the Hausers, then being angry at Wojo/the Hausers/Markus/everyone that this was happening, then I updated the depth chart for next year and got depressed looking at it, eventually I accepted and started focusing on what needed to happen for the team to succeed next season.

Acceptance. I might of voted anger, but you guys would of assumed I was angry with Wojo. Right now I am blaming Sam's dad and then Sam. I think Joey is just a follower.

I thought we were set for next year, but it seems to me we were either losing the Hausers or Markus, Bailey and Anim. Assuming those were the two choices, I am glad with how it ended up.

I was not buying into the way to early predictions that we were going to be a top 10 team next year. I did not see how we were going to be good enough on defense to be a top 10 team. I was thinking we be around 15 to 25 range.

Now I see us being in the 20-30 range. In my mind we took a hit, but not as big as most people are thinking. As far as three point shooting, I do not think we will take a big hit in that area. Cain shot extremely well as a freshmen, so I expect him to shoot better than he did last year. It was said that Bailey was a very good three point shooter in practice. I think he learns to calm down on the court and shows the skills he has.

I would of loved to have a team with no transfers, but I am excited about next year.

same here. Life goes on.

While we had 1 website (ESPN?) that ranked us #2, others had us lower and The Athletic had us 35 or so with the Hausers in the fold.  Too much overreaction and I hope people didn't jump the gun and buy tickets to Atlanta a few weeks ago.

I have to admit I have been surprised at the continued quantity of posts and threads about the Hauser brothers and Wojo.  They in some ways remind me when Crean and Buzz left.  I believe there are/were some serious abandonment issues triggered for some.

For me, I was shocked and disappointed for a few days. But ever since it has been about who else is coming in next year, 2020 recruiting, etc..Will Bailey take a big step forward? Can McEwen create and distribute besides score? I don't wish any ill will to the Hauser brothers. But, I am uninterested in their next step and indifferent to them now.  I appreciate their 1 and 3 year efforts while at MU. I am disappointed they left and when they left. Some day more specifics will come out. I will be curious to that as it can always be valuable learning material, but, I am a Marquette grad and a Marquette fan.  Wojo? It's pretty simple. He needs to produce an NCAA 2nd weekend very soon. It seems pretty simple and straightforward.  I don't really have the Hauser/Wojo enthusiasm that some others do here.

I was shocked and a little disappointed, but never upset. Quickly moved to acceptance and excitement for next year.

First, this is the beautiful thing about college ball. Kids leave. Whether it is to go pro early, or to transfer, or simply because of eligibility, kids leave. College basketball is a game of reloading.

Second, I think the Hauser kids are very good players. But I was not as high on the team as most were. I thought top 10 rankings were just fluff, and I realistically had MU at 10-15, again. We lack the top level talent. That said, now that they've gone, I still expect us at 15-20. We have a new team and it is talented as well. When there are openings, there is opportunity.

Third, and piggy backing on one and two, I am excited to see who steps up. I'm excited to see who gets to show their stuff now that there is an opening. I'm hopeful for growth from Jamal Cain. I really think he can be impactful if he gains confidence. Excited to see Greg and Koby too. There are a lot of reasons for excitement.

Fourth, none of us know whether we will be better or worse or the same. The expectation for Wojo is growth. So, he needs to show "better." Is it possible despite the fact that I agree with many that Sam was our best player and we lost him? Yes. Michigan State this year had a great year. DESPITE losing a couple key players to injury and DESPITE being decidedly less talented across the board than in the previous few years. But this MSU team was hungry and full of dogs with a great leader and college ball player in Cassius. Sometimes the old sayings, "addition by subtraction," and "the whole is better than the sum of its parts" ring true. Here's to hoping Wojo can pull this out. I'm cheering for him and hope for his success, even if I have had a few years of doubt about his abilities.

Fifth, Arby's.

Kinda reminds me of how I learned that TC went to I4.

We took the kids to London for spring break and were at Heathrow for our return flight. I was wearing MU gear, and an IU fan walked up to me and said "so I hear we got your coach." I had no idea what he was talking about, so he explained. I didn't see anything in writing and given that it was April 1, I wasn't totally sure what to believe. Needless to say, it was quite the flight home.

On the plus side, we got upgraded to Biz class!

I don't know if we could have gotten TB or not. I do know you never mentioned he was ours for the taking until Crash asserted it so it's obviously news to you. If true we should have fired Crean before he took the IU job to make sure we could get him.

Anyhoo, Buzz was a major upgrade. TB would have been one too.

Team is significantly better defensively because of it.  Onward n upward, joey sucked anyway n was a baby

You're an idiot..you are one of the worst here at blasting the kids...Luke Fisher was a prime target of yours. You wouldn't knbow a talented player if it hit you in the face. Sure, maybe the team will be better defensively, but NO WAY will they be better offensively, especially 3 point shooting, and NO WAY they will be the top 10 team they were projected to be preseason.

Projections and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee at mcdonalds.  No way MU is a top 10 team with both hausers and markus on the floor.  Too weak defensively.  Look at the elite 8 teams, duke, uva, texas tech, etc etc. elite defensive teams, no way MU can defnd anywhere near that level with those three out there. Huge step forward defensively with their departure.  Wojo has proven he can get teams to score.  a grad transfer or two and MU is improved despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth

Joey was a freshman who showed a lot of skill on offense. Ya, he is a bit slow, but as an offensive player he will be elite.  Great size, he will add strength, and he will be a big buy who will be able to play inside out and use his size against smaller players.  Kind of like a Novak with an added 30 pounds, that is what he'll be in two years.  Unfortunately, it sounds like we will end up seeing him play against MU a lot.  I'm sure he will stick it to us - a matchup we won't want to see on defense.

You missed the Arby's option, universal for IDGAF.
