Got sick and tired of waiting, so I actually called the Big East Conference offices in New York this morning, and was told they plan on announcing the Conference Schedule either tomorrow (Sep 13) or Friday (Sep 14).
Don't why they can't announce the schedule earlier. I know game times and broadcast logistics need to be worked out, but they can at least announce the dates and put TBD for the rest of the info. Heck, other conferences have theirs out (ok, not ACC, though).

Hi is Val there?
No? she's busy oh, OK.
Um, what about Stu?
He's busy too? Boy must be a busy time.
What about John Fanta?
(Hello this is John)
Hi John it's MUJersey
(Click)
Also, I just called the ACC. I told them I was affiliated with the Big East. They asked if we wanted Pitt and BC back.
Last season, the schedule came out on Sept. 12. So, it's the same timeframe for this year.

I believe they have a weekly show on FSGo called Big East Shootaround. So, this is just part of it. I'm sure they will highlight big games and dates for conference play. They also have done this the past couple of years. To answer your question, that do we need it, no. That said, they try to add some spice to it.

Really good schedule from a convenience stand point. It's pretty balanced from beginning to end. Roughest part of the schedule is the middle: at Xavier, at Butler, St. John's, Villanova, at DePaul, Butler, at Providence, and at Villanova. Could easily go 2-6 during that stretch if we're not careful.
Was hoping for a weekend game @ DePaul, which means more MU fans attending in Chicago. Don't think I'll make the trip to McCormick Place on a weeknight. With the exception of not-so-bad sightlines in the Wintrust Arena, everything else is a nightmare down there (parking, concourse/concessions). Wish they were still playing at Rosemont.

If they go anything close to 2-6. Or even anything close to 4-4, then this isn't anywhere NEAR as good of a team as everyone thinks they will be.

2-6 would be bad, but 3-5 or 4-4 would be acceptable during that stretch. I think our 6 toughest conference games are in that 8 game chunk (Nova x2, Butler x2, at X, at PROV). I would not be surprised to see us go 8-2, 9-1, or even 10-0 in the other 10 games.

I think DePaul did request to have their home games against MU during the week after the Wade years, but I thought they eventually went back to the Brewers/MillerPark way of thinking..."Who cares who the fans are cheering for? Just fill the place and take the money!"
I guess after beating MU at their new arena last season, they think they don't need to work that way anymore.

With network doubleheaders, your going to be playing at 5:30/6 or 7:30/8. The days of the 7pm games are long gone. I'm glad FS1 in the last three has went with more 5:30/7:30 doubleheaders. Much better than all those 8pm games we had back in 2013.

Well, the other three weeknight games are 7pm, so I guess they are not "long gone." We did not get the front end of any doubleheader (I guess). Not necessarily complaining, more a response to the original post that claimed there were no 8pm weeknight games. I do however think that the later start times leads to smaller crowds and less of a homecourt edge\atmosphere, especially in the non-conference.
7:30 is fine. The killer is when we have those 8:00 starts that morph into 8:15. Terrible drive home.

As for MU' s three 7pm home games. One is a FS Wisconsin game. The two others fall on Dec. 28 and Feb. 5. Two nights the that are not doubleheader nights. So, for the most part 7pm games are rare for a better word!
