Apparently she was drunk and yelling obscenities at John Calipari and the Kentucky players. And the NCAA tried to cover it up.

Perfect fit at IU.
Classic case of mismanagement and of shooting the messenger.
Dis 'splains why Marshall stays at Wich. St., ai na?
That's the video that's making all the buzz? Lol? I've seen way worse from every student section at every college ive seen a game at.

It's usually not the crime, it's the cover-up.

Apparently the video didn't capture the worse of her behavior.
People here are really desperate when this is what they want to complain about.
I guess to some, women fans should sit quietly in their seats and let men do the cheering - unless, of course the women are wearing short skirts and tight tops.
This thread reeks of Heisy's desperation for attention.
I think a coach's spouse shouldn't get drunk and swear at the other team's players and coaches.
But maybe that's just me...

Nice try. Where did I state, or imply "women" in my post you quoted?
As the Awlful Announcing article on the topic pointed out, Marshall's wife made an ass out of herself but had the NCAA not gone all brown shirt on the reporter who tweeted the video the vast majority of us never hear about it and/or don't care.
I'm far more disgusted by the NCAA in this than I am in a coach's spouse getting tanked and screaming at college kids (though it ain't a good look)

There are no winners here.
Again, dis is a big problem. All yous makin' lite of dis and funnies are missin' da point, hey?
The funnier thing is Marshall's college-aged kid trying to dress like his dad and start chants in the stands in a suit.

You excuse this behavior and then accuse me of seeking attention.
Look in the mirror.
Wow. This women was screaming actual obscenities. Yelling at the other team. For real!!!!
I'm just glad no one else ever does this at a sporting event. I don't think our society could survive if this went on all of the time.
Sounds like we have a "committee of Oh My God" here.

I know you are in a rush to demonstrate your woke credentials but I don't think gender has anything to do with anything here.
If Gregg Marshall's husband or Carolyn Krieger's wife or husband behaved this way the reaction would be similar. Poor behavior but not end of the world.

Fair or unfair, a coach's spouse and family are held to different standards than the casual drunken idiot shouting obscenities from the stands.
I think it was much worse that the video of the little kid who was crying over Northwestern went viral.
This kid is going to be mercilessly teased about this for years before he will be able to laugh at it himself (if ever). I know you can't stop random folks from doing it, but they were showing it on my local news this morning.
At least the Nova crying piccolo player was an adult.

You're right of course - but doesn't the coaches spouse have a lot more invested in the team than any fan?
Do coaches families really have to be politically correct in the way that they cheer?

Grown "adults" paint their faces and wear cheese on their heads.
Shouldn't we be laughing and mercilessly teasing them first?
This was just a kid who learned a lesson that all kids should learn. Losing is part of life - except for me, of course. I never lose. I win so much that I am tired of winning. My winning is YUGE!!

1) Being "more invested" due to personal interest doesn't somehow make it acceptable to get drunk and scream obscenities at a public event.
2) We can argue about the semantics of the term "politically correct" all day but the fact is that ALL adults attending live sporting events have a responsibility to act like adults when cheering on their team. Anyone who yells or screams in anger at college kids, coaches or officials is acting like a fool.

If you're serious, the answer to both questions is yes - a resounding yes for the second question.
If you're going for teal-less hilarity, you need to try a little harder this time.

CBS needed to stop showing that kid throughout the second half. It really wasn't fair to him.
That said, here's my issue with the crying kid (Yes, a father of 4 kids age 7 and under just started a sentence that way), there was 7:36 remaining in the game. Even at the age of 8, 9, 10, whatever he is, you can't lose your sh*t over a bad call with 20% of the game still to play! We know you're passionate about NU hoops but you gotta learn to keep it together, son!
Jim Phillips is a very good AD and seems like a good guy. Hopefully he's using this as a teaching moment.
