Well, it's a home and we're hot!
If we do, we're in great shape for the tournament.
If we do, it's major.
If we don't, hello DePaul and St. John's
Lets not get too carried away...yes MU played pretty good (offensively) and beat a top 10 team on the road. However, I dont know if Creighton will still be ranked in the next couple weeks, definitely not top 20.
MU will have to play a near perfect game. MU's defense is going to have to make a big leap before Tuesday.
We will have to shoot them out of the building. Thats the blueprint, blitz and hold on LOL
Of course, the answer is a trip to the west coast... so Sacramento the weekend of the 16th and San Jose the next.
We got this.

I actually feel quite confident believe it or not.
We won't.
That would be 2 in a row. One more would make 3 in a row. That is called a winning streak.

Hah. Not to be a prick - but I'd you honestly believe this, watch more CBB.
This board never fails, we go from losing to Butler was unacceptable and Wojo should be fired, to thinking we should beat the number 1 team in the nation.
Never disappoints.
Our 81 is the most points Villanova has allowed all season. We won't be able to just blow them out of the gym, which gives us 70 hours to learn to play passable defense. I am not optimistic.

We were a 6.5 point dog today and won. We'll probably be a 4.5 point dog vs Nova. Not saying we WILL win because it would be an upset. But we certainly CAN win.

If Luke plays as well as today, they have a chance. They are not physical team, Luke should dominate. Still may not be enough to win.

That seems low, I think they still open at least +6.
Can we score 102 points again? That might be how many we will need to win Tuesday.
Right. Lines are based on expected and actual wagering..not on predicted point differential, though they're of course related. The idea is to get exactly the same number of bets on each side (and Vegas "wins" by taking the juice without risk of losing money under either outcome). So, I'd be really surprised if the line is under 6 because of one factor: who the hell is going to take MU +5?
I'm guessing the line is Nova -7. Today was incredibly exciting. But let's chill.

If we beat Nova, it will only our second win against #1 ever (the first was Kentucky in 2003 to get into the FF). We are 1-10 all-time against #1 (last #1 loss ... @Nova two weeks ago).
If we beat Nova, do we rush the court? The last time the court was rush, if memory serves me correctly, was when Demeon Mason hit the buzzer beater in 2002. Can anyone correct or remember who it was (I want to say Cincy)?

Its so tough because you probably want Haanif on Brunson and JJJ on Hart, but who does that leave Howard to guard then? Last think I want is Howard or Rowsey on Brunson.
Nova has a bunch of big guards. Rowsey and Howard will have to guard somebody. Accept that they are going to get beat up, coach them not reach and commit silly fouls, hope they can combine for 30+.

It is not. Press was moved up under the boxes to be replaced by a couple of rows of students. Clear path frolick.
I want Katin guarding Jenkins, and I want Wojo telling him if he scores 0 points and shoots the ball 0 times but keeps Jenkins in check that's a win. There are few people I'm not comfortable with Sam guarding (not the quickest kid, but knows how to stay in front and "chest" his man against smaller guys, and understands positioning well enough to not get beat up by stronger guys too much), but Jenkins is one of the few. He is an absolute matchup nightmare for this roster, even more so than Hart, in my opinion, and he ate us up last game. In my opinion, Katin is the only one who has a chance of slowing him down.
5 points seems about right

The last court rush was '03 against Cincy, when we won C-USA. The mason game was '04 against Louisville. I don't think there was a storm that day. Also stormed in '02 against Cincy (my favorite under the radar MU game ever). That was when Joani and associates still sat on that baseline, lots of old people were in not great spots that day...

As noted above, Louisville, March 2004. It's been a long time, but we've had a down run worse than any in over two decades. Beating #1, something we've only ever done once in the history of the program, and never at home, after the past 3 years, would be a pretty significant moment. I've never been a fan of court rushes, but if you're going to do it, that would probably be the most appropriate moment. Especially if we did so in dramatic fashion.
To answer the question asked in the OP, my answer is, "I would be quite pleased."
Beating Nova will be possible only if we hold them below the 246% shooting they did at their place last month!
I would be 100% in favor of a court storming, because it would mean we beat Villanova ;D

To be clear, I never asked for Wojo's head. This year is still a building year. If we defeat Villanova; if we make the NCAA; and, should we win a game or two in the NCAA, it will be a fantastic year. I'm not confident on our 2016-2017 milestones and despite the fantastic win at Creighton, we still have a young team that has to shoot the lights out to win.
Wojo deserves a chance to get his own team, his own system and his own experience. We're getting there. Creighton helped define the possibility that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Listen... as a fan of Barry Sanders, I generally dislike court-storming. However, I also dislike MU being embarrassed on TV.
In this case, the lesser of two evils is to allow non-students to storm the court. Otherwise, even if every student at the game stormed, a 23-person court storm is just going to look bad.
