I would like to read this but clicked on that old Young article for last century and need to save my journal views ;)
Think this is the first time we played in Athens since 1971-1972, since the NCAA Mideast Regionals, when the referees stole a game from us and gave it to Ohio State.
One of the low points in MU history.
Would have liked to have a Utah/Marquette series (so many possibilities with Rick Majerus), but Georgia is a solid matchup for us.
Welp, it's not Alabama but i guess it'll have to do
Ranked #70 by KenPom. Definitely a respectable noncon. I think Al would approve.
BTW, are we pursuing any 2017-18 Georgia recruits?

I was one state off . Will be a good series. The kind of thing Al would go for.
We lost Utah? Bummer

I'm sure this is colorblind teal...but for those that don't know, you can right click and select "Open in private/incognito window" to bypass the paywall. Not that I support such actions!
I would like Utah & Georgia.

Great rocky, now how can those folks get their VCR to stop flashing 12:00?

Was there up close and personal. Probably da lowest I've ever felt in all da years of followin' Marquette hoops. Legit National Championship caliber team with UCLA loomin' on da horizon. Long ride back ta MKE, hey?
Obviously scheduled this so that Ahmed Hill's family can savor the joys of Marquette hoops...

...and Crowder's.
Is this in addition to, or instead of Utah?

Likely in lieu of. Unless Utah plays here first but even then I don't see it.

Yes, I am teal challenged
Why are they playing the game in Greece?
Nice. If it all possible, Mrs. MU82 and I will be making the trip for this one!

I am intrigued by the thought of going to an SEC campus...wouldn't mind catching a football game for the environs but this OBVIOUSLY trumps that.
We should do this just for the eye candy in the "Famous Alum" thread on Scoop.

So UGA will be the marquee home in Dec of 2017 when we play at Bucky, replacing Iowa this past year.
Maybe we'll get a Gavitt Game at home...STHers can dare to dream.

But Matt won't get credit for the clicks.

Home and home means each team gets a home game.

UGA has a very nice campus. I haven't seen all of it but have been in their arena before...smallish but good close seating no matter where you are.
I am planning on going with my 9-year old son...will by my first MU game in many years and his first ever.

No Utah - scheduling didn't work out. You folks should actually read Matt's article and stop proving Heisy right.

I was in high school in Nashville at the time. Real bummer because we knew what we had and probably was the only team that could have given UCLA a game that year.

Thanks. I'll seriously consider it with my fam.
Sounds like we might be able to get a nice little group of MU fans to this one. I hope we can arrange a get-together.

I'm down with that. I have quite a few friends who went to school there and when the time is right I will put out feelers on good places to gather for pre-game activities.
I will strongly consider attending this game!
