#76 - Nick Noskowiak still on the list. You have to pay ESPN for that kind of "insider" information?

NN at #76? ?-(  Didn't he miss half the season?

He missed more then half the season but I guess ESPN figured he didn't get less talented.....Remember it isn't about how you do in high school...it is how they view you as a college prospect.

Best of luck to him

PS They list our other 3 guys as 4 star recruits as well.......FWIW

I guess. But we see guys move up and down all the time based on how they played. Anyway, hope he lands on his feet. Don't wish the kid any ill will.

Last June they were too light on a couple studs.

Now, onto some other guys who may be 'values' at their current ranking.. i.e., they are better than their newest ESPN ranking... and some other guys I just have random comments on...

Brandon Ingram #12. Not kidding.
Dwayne Bacon at #40. C'mon now. Big time. Had MU interest from the former clan... Floridian.

Ingram jumps to #3; Bacon to #14.

Much better.

just shows you how worthless the rankings are once you get past the Top 10 or so players.

Heldt is out of the top 100? Thought he was ranked much higher before.

Recruit rankings are about as useful as preseason rankings, mock drafts and mid-season bracketology.

He's never been ranked in ESPN's top 100. Scout is the only one that had him really high. In the low 50s I believe.

That's right. Forget who, but one guy posted percentages on recruiting rankings vs. actual impact on college and eventually making it to the NBA. If I remember correctly, 1-25 is significant, the evaluators do a good job. 25-50 it's hit or miss, and after 50 don't even bother following along.

Scout has Heldt at 60 currently.

Justin Patton from Creighton not being ranked is surprising.

I predict Heldt & Anim will both be solid if unspectacular freshmen & sophomores, and excellent upperclassmen.

24/7 doesn't like Henry Ellenson as much as most others, it seems:
New top 247:

#23 (?) - Henry Ellenson
#62 - Haanif Cheatham
#96 - Nick Noskowiak
#132 - Matt Heldt
#145 - Traci Carter
#182 - Sacar Anim

And I suppose we're not going to get Noskowiak either.  Bummer.

I'm not sure the 24/7 rankings have been updated in awhile, other than adding a couple guys that reclassified to 2015.

They have updated their composite rankings.  Traci Carter moved up about 20 spots to 117.

there sure weren't any radical changes on 24/7 as about 90% of the top 200 guys moved 1-3 spots.

#23 - Henry Ellenson  prior 24
#62 - Haanif Cheatham      63
#132 - Matt Heldt            131
#145 - Traci Carter          145
#182 - Sacar Anim           182

however, their overall composite rankings show quite a bit of change.
A few guys moving 20-30 spots.

Haanif Cheatham is very smooth on the court, can't wait to see him in Warrior Blue and Gold!
