Sooo....Omaha is up 23-10 On Nebraska early... ?-(
Apparently Nebraska has gone on a 24-6 run since then.
Clearly Nebraska isn't very good. Don't they know Seattle beat this team by 24?
When "not a bad loss" no longer applies, we've moved on to "our bad losses have some not so bad losses". :D
Nebraska starts four juniors and a senior. Clearly a much more veteran team than MU.
Nebraska won. They started off slow and then turned it on. Nebraska outscored UNO by 27 after an awful start. They lead by 11 or more the last 9 minutes. Even if UNO isnt bad that doesnt mean Marquette isnt. In fact, barely beating NJIT is probably worse than getting beat by UNO

Well, we start 3 seniors and a junior, so they aren't that much more veteran than we are. Granted, our other players are the 3 sophs and 2 frosh.

Badger boards getting a bit boring lately, since Stone decided to push back his commitment date and all the team has to do is roll the ball out and see how much they win by?

Of their top 8 players in terms of minutes played, 7 are upperclassmen. And 6 of those 7 upperclassmen were among the leaders in minutes played last year too. That's different from our 4 upperclassmen where one is in his only year in the program and two others played spotty minutes last year.

This is where you went wrong. Omaha is a respectable team that came to play against us and got after it, but I'd take any win over any team however narrow, to a loss to a team we should have beat. C'mon man!

Obviously a win is better than a loss no matter what. But in terms of an indicator, a narrow last minute victory over NJIT probably bodes slightly worse than a 9 point loss to UN-O. Splitting hairs, ultimately.
I would have preferred to beat Omaha instead of losing to them.
