He would be a nice pick up. Also nice that he has the Jesuit background.
I know of at least one alumnus well placed at that school.

All my MSU buddies are saying this kid is basically a Spartan already. I hope that we can snag him, but they're very confident that he's gonna end up in East Lansing.
FWIW U of D is a major rival of my high school and usually has the best bball team in the Detroit Catholic league. They produce some good players.

Wojo was at U of D last night watching Cassius. From what I've heard his list of schools is MU, MSU, Michigan, and Ohio St with MSU being the leader. I'm not too worried though, Wojo owns Izzo on the recruiting scene

Nice group of schools to be listed with at minimum. We could greatly use a pure point in the 2016 class, if not the 2015 class...
I like our chances recruiting point guards. It would be really hard for a point guard to pass up the opportunity to be coached by our staff.

Hopefully hes not as big of a headcase as Lucas was.
Just to set the record straight, Paul Diehl is a Spanish teacher at UD High. He is not famous or well connected and would laugh at the insinuation that he was. For all of the CUB alumni reading this, Paul was a few years ahead of me at UD and good friend or my brother so I know him. I was there when Senior Biela and Rodriquez were the Spanish teachers.
I will tell him to put in a good word for MU to Cassius.

Assuming he is really good, he should expect to start day 1 at MU, because he would be the only true point guard.

I'm not so sure about that. Marquette's team is pretty good this year. They took Germantown down to the wire, losing by 3 this year. Germantown has lost, what, 1 time in the last 3 seasons, including setting the record for most straight wins in WIAA boys basketball history, and won 3 straight State Titles? They've been ranked in the top 25 in the country for much of that run. I believe that's 1 of 2 Marquette losses this season.
I'm going to watch Cassius tonight as UofD takes on my Alma mater, Brother Rice. The game is at 7:30 at Rice if anyone around Detroit is interested. Tomorrow I'll report back with a scouting report.

First off, Rice with a big win last night beating UofD 58-53. As for Cassius, he didn't have the best game. My takeaways are that he has really good court vision, handles the rock well, can get to the rim when he wants, but last night his shot wasn't falling. My guess would be that he finished with around 18 points mostly coming from layups and free throws. He did hit two 3s, but also had some bad bricks. I can definitely see why he's so highly ranked and I would love for him to come to Marquette, but last night was an off night for sure.

Had to laugh when reading the comment "his shot wasn't falling. He'll fit right in (at Marquette). That is so true over the years as we seemingly recruit good athletes but their shots just don't fall and we get beat over and over again by inferior athletes whose shots fall.
