Title: Jon Horford

Jon Horford from Michigan is transferring, eligible immediately.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/51271/jon-horford

A big guy we could use for a season maybe?

This would be great. We are obviously in desperate need of a solid big man to hold down the team until Fischer is eligible. And also to add depth even when we do have Fischer. Horford is big(6'10 250) and has good playing experience. He's definitely not an All American but a solid player.

He is also the brother of Al Horford, so the announcers could remind everyone about that around 10 times per game just like they do with Todd/OJ Mayo

Great opportunity .  He is restricted from going to a Big Ten. His dad played for the Bucks so some familiarity.

Will you be submitting to Wojo a list of players who are and are not good enough for him to recruit?

Given that the only returning post player is for all intents a freshman who can't play until mid-December, MU could do a lot worse than adding an experienced big body for a season.

Maybe it is the conditioning I have been put through the last couple years, but when I read his name in the title, I immediately thought to myself, "I wonder if he is related to Al Horford?"

Horford would be an excellent addition. Has big game and tournament experience plus played an important role for Michigan this year with Mitch McGary out all season and Jordan Morgan being foul prone. We wouldn't be asking him to lead the team in scoring, just provide solid defense and rebounding.

Showing my age but a good Tito Horford story.  He grew up in either Haiti or the Dominican Republic, went to school at Miami, Fl and was drafted by the Bucks.  He had never seen snow before so the first snow of the year he skipped practice because he was afraid to drive over the Hoan bridge in snow, Bucks assigned some low level employee to drive him when it snowed after that.

Perhaps we should just start a broadway play about Shaka Smart.  We could have several people dancing in jerseys in a circle around him, while he has a pondering look on his face.  Each person, he takes on a date, but of course...... it is just a massive flirtation.  People could run out dancing in sweaters that spell out #donedeal, with a cameo by local fox channel sports guy, Tom pipines as he proudly reports shaka coming to Milwaukee in a baratone voice.

No, I'd rather have a middle class white guy share with me his personal insights on the trials, travails, and agony of racism. You know, since you claim to be such an expert on what it's like to be subjected to bigotry, prejudice, and racial antipathy.

Now, again, what concentration camp was your family thrown into?

So answer the question: I never mentioned African American yet you felt compelled to draw a comparison. The reality is that YOU see color. There is nothing more despicable than one who refuses to admit what he truly is.

No idea what you're talking about .... but I do find it charming that a grown man who spends hours penning haikus on an Internet message board - not to mention poems proclaiming insider knowledge of Tony Bennett coming to Marquette (something that was never remotely close to happening) - would label others "idiot."

Hard to question that choice.
I guess Horford didn't get the memo that they play football at FLA.

Hard to fault him for that. His brother did great at Florida

I Should have put in teal. It was more a comment on the ridiculous idea that Bball only schools are more attractive than those that also have a football team.

Hard to question that choice.

I do, if he was looking for PT.  Of course, he started out on this path well before it was determined that Mitch McGary would have to go in the NBA draft.  I highly doubt that he'll play anywhere near as much with Florida as he did last year (and would have played this year) with Michigan.

It seems the Horford family spin is that he was a much better player than he had a chance to show at Michigan, and he'll get that chance at Florida.

''It's exciting,'' Al Horford said. ''More than anything, I just want him to be successful. I think at Florida he's going to have that chance.''

Good luck with that Jon, you'll need it.
