We need to post a watch at the Spirit Shop for visuals on Maya Smart loading up on Tees, Ball Caps, Coffee Mugs, and Halter Tops
Sitting there in a beach chair with a bucket of Real Chili and some Sprecher Hefe Weiss. I might be blocking the door slightly. I think they'll appreciate the "Shaka Smarquette" mesh half shirt. If you come by bring some wet-naps. I'm a mess.

Worst possible scenario...I had nightmares about this stuff. Sans VCU joining the Big East and having to play Marquette.
This type of situation really shows you what it means to be a fanatic though. I've been attacked from both sides. Sort of enjoyable, but I probably need to step away from the computer at this point.
Oh no, a strong woman who eschews gender stereotypes... that's not going to play well with the sweatervests.

Then you, my anonymous internet friend, don't know Jack about Marquette. We've hired openly gay deans. Sure, we still have to take the next step of not subsequently firing them before their first day on the job... but the first step is always a doozy.

Maya Smart went to Harvard and Medill at Northwestern for grad school. Marquette would be extremely fortunate to have someone like that affiliated not just with the program, but the university.

Well that's convenient. Northwestern is 78 miles from the AL. I'm sure she has plenty of friends/fellow alums in the Chicagoland and Milwaukee area.
This news on Ms. Smart plus her tweet means we just took the lead.
For anyone keeping score at home it's the fourth quarter with seven and half minutes left
Marquette - 68
VCU - 66
It's a nailbiter
Father Wild is running point, so hope is still alive

Do we put Todd in because he's clutch or do we assume he's going to foul a three point shooter? Though admittedly VCU has this problem to.

It was actually...
Marquette - 62
VCU - 66
VCU fouled on a three-pointer with seconds left and Jake sank the free-throw. Four point play. Marquette won in overtime.

I agree but at phonathon for fundraising we even have an auto response for declines when alumni think the university is too liberal. We hire a coach like Shaka then it gets out he was say campaigning for Baldwin or Hillary we'd lose a bunch of Blue and Gold donors then we're in a pickle

But he will also be worshiped by the local media for his leftist views, so he won't care what fans think. You wont have seen anything like the praise this guy will get if he's the hire. And if he bashes Walker, the JS might put it on the front page, bold type. It won't be boring.

The local media does not praise him for his political views here. In fact, they've never discussed it aside from the POTUS mentioning him in a speech he made on campus.

The over-politicization of Wisconsin is way over-hyped. If you care deeply about anything of a political nature, you're still part of the minority... not to mention you need your head checked.

there's no way he'd bash a sitting govenor who righted a sinking ship and preserved jobs in the process..., regardless of his background (and only he knows his stance on things not disclosed to us) he isn't a mindless boob and will make fact-based decisions.
