Who cares if Stainedpants is playing. Ox will eat his lunch.
Ox for 22.
Jake for 18.
Jamal for 17.
And DWil for 11
GO WARRIORS!!!!!!!
Got a taste for some bluejay.
Why does it not surprise me that, with the way this season has gone, Fox Sports 1 is the only station on my TV that is not working right now. Any other Waukesha County Time Warner Cable people have the problem?
Bring out the untucked jerseys for this game and go on a '77 run! Ok, gotta go take my meds.
Maybe it will be good luck having to watch the game on my phone rather than my TV.
Burton starting. Nice.

Yes. Jake

Interesting substitutions. This could be fun
Burton looks unstoppable out there
Burton should not come out the game!
Odd sub - Mayo at the point, Anderson and Taylor on the floor together. Not a lineup that's been on the floor all year that I recall.
Liked what I saw from DWill - feeding Burton, most importantly not holding the ball, keeping it moving.

Thought Stainbrook wasn't playing. And why the hell did Buzz take Deonte out?
Gus Johnson said Buzz coached one year at Tulane.
You learn something new everyday.
Deonte back in. Good. 9 guys have an early sweat. Mayo caught way inside in traffic on back to back 3's. Along with 2 bad passes. Ah, well. He is a second half player, right?
Reboot the cable box.

He got a quick foul, probably to calm him down so he won't get in foul trouble.
The coach and his wife have the same name? That's awkward. Thankfully Buzz's first name isn't Cory, or his wife's Buzzy...er, Brenda.

At 4 minute mark with MU up 10 to 3, Buzz subbed 4 players. Team was playing well and it's just confusing to sub 4 players. Seems to be working for awhile. X catching up now with open threes due to double team passes.
MU better watch out for foul trouble.
good idea to reboot cable box or try the low-def channel

They just messed with the wrong guy.
OK, just feed Gardner every time, every time. Anything else is foolish. He is one pissed off beast right now.
Should be an automatic flagrant foul there. There was contact to the head after the whistle. By the new rules that is an automatic flagrant 1. Actually could be considered a flagrant 2 for excessive contact after the whistle.
love gus and raf getting fired up with the physical play.

That's an ejection. Pushing the back of someone's head in the court is dangerous, and Gardner looked very woozy getting up, almost like a concussion. That's just a dangerous play.

He has 1 to and 2 fouls, the same as Derrick
Hopefully Mayo and Jamil turn it up in the 2nd half.
Burton's picking his spots well too. The one knack on offense is usually getting too eager to take it, has had very good judgment.
So far the extended minutes for Dawson at the point have been lackluster. But let's see if the theory that Derrick will play better on both ends if he's not forced into maximum minutes holds true in the second half.
As Raf just said in Big Games you need your big gamers. Hello...Jamil? Anybody home? Their guards can get to the rack. Our's cannot.
We have no Rythmn now and jamil is just embarrassing.
Buzz tried to fix what wasn't broke and kept subbing guys.

No he hasn't. He has taken Ox out on two occasions after buckets and waited for possessions to get him back in.
It should be Ox in the game at all time getting the ball and he inexplicably took him out twice at bad times.
How many layups has MU given up at the buzzer this year? Jamil didn't even make an attempt to guard once Christian got passed Thomas. So lame. They do this all the time.

Worst part Is they get ball back
MU shooting 55%, XU is 42%, yet MU down.
Bad Jamil - 3 points
Bad Todd - 2 points on fts
Jake only 2 shots, 1 for 2.
Dwil/Dawson - well.......
Burton/Gardner - terrific
MU has 9 turnovers including Jamil's two seconds after winning tip.
Mayo can't dribble, who knows wtf?
Gardner missed frontend of one/one.
Jake just had his ankles broken by Christain.
Bottomline: turnovers killing them, Jamil and Todd must get it together, feed the Ox everytime.

Actually from what I saw...Juan should have been the help defender but didn't provide help in time...and Juan also is the guy who left Martin open for the 3 on the possession before. Juan simply does not need to be on the floor at any point....
Defense is our problem, as I think I saw explained quantatively on another post recently. I missed a few minutes because I had to take a phone call but I recall at least 3 or 4 occasions when X shooters were described as "WIDE OPEN" in the first half. What else is new?
Jake had 17 and 18 in the first two games. 1-2 in the first half.
Time for Derrick to be the gamechanger as Buzz says: should be fresh enough to shut jameS down, and if he keeps the ball moving as well as he did in the first half the offense will be better for it, and it'll limit Mayos fumbles.

yep, consistently underachieved this year. tend to look good for stretches yet still end up on the short end on the score board far too many times. Thing is, Dawson could have had that same look 20 seconds later into the shot clock. It was not a good shot as he took it way too early in the shot clock.
So lots of Mayo and lots of Burton, a little less Derrick and we are on the losing end so far. Interesting. This season's disappointment has been primarily due to JWilson's very unproductive season more than anything else. And this is exhibit A for the reason why Mayo is not a point guard. Agree...nice to at least see us flow well on offensive end...hope Burton has the conditioning to go the rest of the way...not accustomed to getting big game minutes...
Need to ride Burton, Ox and Mayo down the stretch..only guys off the bench at this point that should play are Jamil, maybe Dawson...don't need anymore Juan, and limited Chris...if only give blow to DG.
Think we will pull this game out...
8983, he's a game changer.
A Jake 25 footer would feel pretty good right now
not looking good at all. need something
And all this with Christain on the bench with three fouls.
Burton needs to calm down, calm down.

Nice play by Jake but he's supposed to be a SHOOTING guard.

Need to rely on Buzz for your meal ticket, you're not going to snub him. Unless you're Mike Hunt.
Ha, he is mikehunt

He didn't. Played a few minutes.
When? I listen to the last 10 minutes and dont remember his name being called by Homer and Mac.

It wasn't much. Maybe 2 1 minute stints. Didn't record any stats during them.
Sorry to say after the Georgetown game, that Marq may not win another game until next year.

He and his pink shoes were out there in the last few minutes...we brought him and DG in as a pair in one substitution for sure to get offense. Clearly, he didn't play a lot in the last 10, but he did play some.
Burton looked like a stud (minus some errant plays here and there). With another whole summer to work out and develop, I can only imagine what he is capable of next season.
Looking forward to a whole season of Todd

His last real minutes he gave up a late layup because he fell asleep. Buzz was pissed enough to call a TO to yank him.
