Why is he in the game? Missed shots, missed defensive assignments, stupid turnovers. Find the bench kid.
Calm down.
Todd, Jake, Derrick.....it don't matter.
He's having an awful game, again

Todd passing like Tony Romo Today. .
It's no longer even worth assigning blame to an individual or two. We're just bad collectively

Romo had a great year....you may have meant Seneca Wallace
Somebody has to play....if those are the criteria for benching we can't field a team

Most do 1 or 2 of the 3. Not all 3, at least 1 every possession. Just brutal. I'll gladly take a guy who doesn't score but doesn't make mistakes (Derrick, Juan, Jake) on the court over a guy who doesn't score and makes brutal mistakes (Todd).

Hey more like Eli manning lol....
Another -4 point swing from Mayo there. Don't understand why Buzz is keeping him in there
Terrible game by Todd. Wouldn't miss him next year if he left early.

early to go where... OJ's Couch... lmfao
I give Buzz credit... I woulda run him after the UW game, and sure would have after tonight. He was abysmal in every facet of the game.

Are you kiddimg? You call put Todd
Of all players on this team.....
I have backed Todd for 2+ years and I finally give up.
Last night I was thinking, if we had Todd for the Arizona St and UW games, we would of lost those games by a bigger margin.
Todd is my boy. I will always have his back.
Blows me away we have those who are unrelenting in their support of Derrick, who puts up games like Todd did last night - consistently - yet Todd has his worst game of the year, and now he sucks? Look at the season stats - he's our 3rd best player.
I'll take some turnovers if a guy is at least trying to be a playmaker either for himself or others. Wish our PG had the same mentality.
There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it - what ails this team is our PG. The loss of Vander is a blow, yet Vander wouldn't be functioning nearly as well with this PG, as there is virtually no transition game, and Junior along with Vander were great in transition.
As for Gardner - think the guy has really regressed to this point, through not putting any work in the past off season?? By all accounts he worked really hard. He has the same skills as always, but now just better conditioning and quickness - yet he's having a rough year?? Gee...wonder why?

Because if he's not scoring he's not playing hard. That's why.

The problem with Todd in people's eyes is that he hasn't taken that next step. I think he is what he is. A volume shooter who will get hot occasionally, but will rarely be a guy who can put the team on his back and lead them to victory.
But yeah, I think the criticism is unwarranted.

That's simply a cop out of an excuse....Gardner has been one of the most efficient players in college hoops each of the past 3 seasons, and now, in his senior year, in his best condition - he all of a sudden isn't playing hard enough to score?? Umm....okay.
Gardner isn't effective this year because the opposition's defense has ZERO fear of our perimeter game, and the least concern with Derrick - who gets more minutes on the team than anyone. Derrick has 3 of his 53 assists for the year to Gardner....what more evidence do you need that our PG cannot help create decent shot opportunities for Gardner?

It's true. As good as Gardner is/was at creating his own shot inside, a lot of his points came off of easy, wide open lay-ups fed to him by Cadougan and Blue.

He is definitely streaky. But what's mind boggling is Todd is still treated by buzz with the freshman. 1 mistake, he's back to the bench.
Jake could be the equivalent to a traffic cone and he will only come out for standard rest. I know we are limited with PG options but Derrick has made some AWFUl passes, namely on in bounds plays. If that's Todd, he would be lucky to play again.
then it's crazy that people on here are so quick to defend the players that simply are not that talented, but then hammer on Ox and Todd.
At least we don't have to wonder whether Derrick will be eligible to play from game to game.

Joe, I'd hate to think where we would be without him, though.
