MU shooting 26% from field.

1 for 12 from three.  That means 2 for 30 in last two games.

No field goals in last 10 minutes.  Really.

D. Wilson and Thomas had zero points.  D. Wilson foul on first game possession and foul on three pointer to end half.

Buzz subbing like crazy, looking for something.

Brutal offensive effort against a just terrible team at home.

When you are playing 3 on 5 it is very hard to be effective on offensive side of ball. Hopefully the big guy is playing closer than 25 feet away from basket today.

Very glad I passed on goin tonight. After parking, a few beers, jakes corn beef and another beer I would be unhappy guy a this moment. At our scoring rate the game costs me about five bucks for each basket.

How long can we go with practically zero offensive production from the starting guards? Even UNH is clogging the paint on D because we never score from the perimeter and rarely convert any drives.

The lack of production is actually good to me. It will force Buzz to play Duane Wilson and that will change things up big time. The kid can score and not bashful. Like it or not Buzz will be forced to play him if PG continues to play at this level.

I love when we claim that the unknown is a sure thing.  We have no idea if Duane can score at this level.  JJJ scored a lot in Tennessee and that hasn't translated yet.  My guess is Duane has little impact this year given that he's a freshman and is missing half the year.

Yes....MU will win 11+ games in conference this year..

It's ugly right now, but Buzz is subbing like a madmen, mixing and matching, and no players get into any kind of rhythm...we've seen this in past early seasons, albeit I don't recall any of the teams looking this anemic offensively.

Jake's minutes will be reduced to almost non by conference play, and I think Derrick Wilson's will be slashed a lot - whether given to Jamil, Dawson or Duane.  Mayo will get 25+ every game and will produce.  X factors will be Juan, Steve Taylor and Burton.

Derek Wilson has zero chance to perform at this level at we have two plus years of proof. If you think JJJ is a question mark after four games you should be recruiting for Buzz because you know your stuff.

Going one man short would be more productive than playing PG we have. It is PG game and we went backwards from last year and that is difficult to believe IMO.

I never claimed that Derrick (note spelling please) is performing well.  Just commenting on your prediction that  "the kid can score" when it comes to Duane.

You simply don't know that.  And I brought up JJJ as an example of how a high scoring high school player can struggle to score at this level.

Also Buzz must have told this team they cannot drive nobody attacks the rim anymore.

He has a history of playing freshmen who deserve to play (Vander, Davante, Todd).  The freshmen are playing today, like a lot of people were calling for, and they aren't doing much.  Perhaps Buzz knows what he is doing.

And as you said, it is early.

I do think his anti freshmen philosophy could hurt down the road. Trust me, I know the guy can flat out recruit. Hope he does not outsmart himself and be too cute. The bigger the coach gets the more they get quirky and our guy started out quirky.

I do think his anti freshmen philosophy could hurt down the road. Trust me, I know the guy can flat out recruit. Hope he does not outsmart himself and be too cute. The bigger the coach gets the more they get quirky and our guy started out quirky.

Good lord...now he's "anti-freshmen?"

Last year they had one true freshman....Ferguson.  The year before, Mayo had 21 mpg.  The year before, Vander had 19 mpg and Davante nearly 10.

You want him to play guys who don't deserve to play in his eyes?

Chill, baby. I am not saying  anti anything at this point. Was making an observation. If I had a son who was top 50 player and he wanted to play his first year I would definitely advice him chances are probably limited at MU. Not a big thing, just a factual thing.

WTF?  You aren't saying anti anything?  You flat out said that Buzz has an "anti-Freshman policy."

And furthermore, despite evidence that he plays freshmen that DESERVE to play, you STILL think that he has that policy?  Cmon....be smart.

Tell me, after watching this display tonight, what freshman do you think deserves more minutes?

Any freshmen that would walk into BC could play over the guards we are starting and that confirms my point. Buzz knows th two guards cannot cut and still plays them. That his way of being cute or quirky. If you took a poll of a thousand casual and asked them if our two guards should be playing what do you think response would be?

Aside from you I do not think one person on here believes these two guards are best option. Take it back, LabWarrior would take your side just because.  I would take the pimple faced kid in Row U in section 402 over who is playing.

We may have to take a more serious look at my idea of having Brooklyn play the point for the men's team too.  She can make free throws, rather than our starting point guard who can't play in the final minute because he can't do that either.

You meant Jake, Todd and Jamil, as did the announcer, former coach Wenzel.

Derrick did not only not score, but he was terrible with fouls, etc. The little things Buzz hates.

Agree with Burton, but still don't get the minutes Anderson got and Tayllor/Burton didn't.

It's easy to pile it on D. Wilson and Thomas, but I think Jamil,Todd, and Gardner are the ones that need to and more importantly are capable of playing a lot better.

Gardner looked like he didn't want to be there.  He was 1 for 6 on FGs, 3 for 7 on FTs and had 4 turnovers. I thought it was one of his worst games, especially against an opponent like this.

Sorry but he has given the freshmen opportunities to prove themselves and they can't score and are beaten on D all the time. Therfore you go with experience. He has tried playing Deonte several times , he misses layups takes shots he shouldn't take and is terrible on D. What is he suppose to do. JJJ can't score and is terrible on D, he falls all the time trying to guard his man off the dribble.

Deonte has gotten opportunities, but hasn't been able to finish offensively and has been bad at defense. I believe Buzz will keep on giving him spot minutes until he can prove he can finish, and I mean layups and can handle defensive assignments.
