Now I'm PO'd that we didn't win. This JO waits until we're done playing him for his career before spouting off.
"I really don't like Marquette. I just don't," Cooley said. "I really don't like them. I wanted to make sure that we won this game. I wanted to seal it. And what really upset me was there was a play where I should have got (a rebound), but (Chris) Otule sat on my head. And that just pissed me off. I had to play angry and that just helped me play a lot better."
Every time I see Cooley on the bench, he looks like he is about ready to cry.
That made him play better? Whatever it takes to get your 6 points and 6 rebounds Lurch
How many would he have scored if Chris didn't sit on his head? 2?
And when did Chris sit on his head?
Yeah you really turned up the heat Cooley.....

He's mistaken Chris, for Manti.
Manti' sat on his face.
Yeah, he was definitely a man among boys last night. If only MU hadn't fired him up...he might have finished with 4 points and 4 rebounds.

Exactly. Someone needs to make a gif of when ND gets knocked out of the NCAAs this year. You can be sure he will be shown crying on TV. I want to savor those tears forever!

Huh? Where did he allegedly say this?
Add a little fuel to the fire.....
My cousin who went to high school with Cooley claims that he saw himself on ESPN on a TV in the lunchroom his senior year and immediately starting running around the school cheering by himself.
Even better, the clip on ESPN was of some AAU camp and they were talking about some top prospect (don't know who) and Cooley happened to be in the background of the shot.
What a tool.
Otule had a tremendous, legal screen on Cooley last night in the paint for an easy MU lay up. It spun Cooley around and down to the ground. Replay was tremendous.
If he wants to beat MU so bad, maybe he should have shown up and played against us.

Not gonna lie, I would do the exact same thing.
I think he was talking about the time his girlfriend sat on Otule's face ;D
Not that anyone cares what Luke Harrengodys left testicle says anyway.

Haha that is so true. I was thinking the same yesterday. He shouldn't be allowed to talk when his teammates are out there winning the game for him.
Why did Cooley's put his head under Chris's behind in the first place?
Cooley's probably used to fugly ND chicks sitting on his face.
To mouth off at Cooley did is immature and makes their program at ND look cheap. He should be embarrassed.
He'll probably be grateful that the slimmer Dieng will be sitting on his head tonight.
Wow, I can't believe a player at a rival school doesn't like us. What a jerk!
Get real guys. This is meant to fire his team and his fans up.

Fair enough but he should probably do it before the game next time. After playing a sub-par game, it just comes across as sad posturing.
Don't hate, appreciate! You can talk sh:t when you win and he did. We should of won and left him crying for real.

The dude had 6 points and 6 rebounds. He did absolutely nothing to warrant saying what he said. Say what you want, but it'd be like Ferguson having said "I don't like Notre Dame, I play mad and therefor go off when I play Notre Dame" after we beat them at the BC.
I think that is great news. I hope every key player on opposing team hates MU. It means they are doing something right. Keep it Buzz, get 'me all to hate us!!
I mean, I hate Cooley, so its fine.

"
as Cooley did"
I think it should be pointed out that one of the offensive rebounds he got, however few they were, led to the biggest shot of the game for them. Connie hit a three to go up 7 with a couple minutes left...that hurt.
But yeah, Cooley is annoying. His excuse for scoring 0 in 15 minutes against us at the BC was 'illness' even though he didn't look that 'sick' to me. Sad, yes, but not sick.
Stuff like what Cooley said is what makes rivalries fun.
Cooley hates MU as much as MU hates Cooley. If MU had shown up for the last 35 minutes on Thursday, he could have just sat and cried alone. But he showed up just enough and MU didn't so he has temporarily earned the right to run his mouth.

"I'm tired of having to sit, go home and have to watch it on TV," Irish center Jack Cooley said. "I'm tired of that. The way this team fought back tonight and the way we handled it like men, I don't think we're going to let that happen. I think we're going to come out strong and handle their pressure phenomenally. I think we can get to Saturday night and that would mean a lot for
me."
Introducing the "I" in TEAM...JACK COOLEY, everyone!
I'm told by his uncle that Cooley badly wanted to come to MU, but Crean wouldn't even talk to him. I guess I understand his sour grapes.
I woulda welcomed him to MU, Augie.

You can hardly blame Crean for not talking to him. MU was so back-logged with bigs his last few years that Cooley would never have seen the floor.

How is this even possible?
Crean left nearly a year before Cooley committed to ND. Add to it that Cooley wasn't a highly regarded prospect so its no shock that Crean didn't break down the door to their suburban Chicago mansion. Cooley was a throw-in recruit for most schools and its a credit to Brey he's gotten what he has out of him after being virtually useless his first two seasons.

Shhh....remember, doesn't fit the delusional meme here so let them play along. I heard Jabari Parker really wanted to go to MU, too, but Crean didn't go after him while he was here at MU. ;)

Be careful what yoy wish for. My buddy was on espn at a cubs game holding up a sign and all of my friends whited out the sign and replace it with stuff like "I like dudes". Espn is a very dangerous place to be seen.
Kid was an absolute tool in high school too. Couldnt stand him when he played. Least favorite high school player after Jon Scheyer.
