Lockett on Porter for d.  Big effort needed.

Lets get them in foul trouble because they have no bench.

Jeez, D. Wilson comes in game and of course a foul.

How come CO is an offensive force in so many games for our first 10 points, and then zero?

All night it's going to be a lot of BS off-the-ball calls with these jerks.

It seems like for whatever reason, when they play on the road, they throw the laziest, most non chalant passes. They don't seem to do that as much at home. WTF?? Passing is passing! Stop with the lazy pass crap. Throw crisp passes. That's fundamental stuff!

Title: Re: Georgetown game thread
Post by: WellsstreetWanderer on February 11, 2013, 06:34:01 PM
Just as I was saying I was tired of watching people jump our passing lanes, junior lays out another lackadaisical lob that results in a layup for GT. we are too predictable and get lulled into mechanical moves at times
Title: Re: Georgetown game thread
Post by: nyg on February 11, 2013, 06:36:33 PM
OK,

Vander has not taken a shot, yes he got fouled on one, but missed two free throws.

10 turnovers, 4 offensive fouls

MU has only taken 10 shots in 13 minutes.

MU is 2 for 6 on free throws.

Only good thing, Porter has two fouls.  Actually GT had 7 turnovers also.

And D. Wilson throws up something with nothing on clock.

Buzz is going to ream these guys at half.

I cant believe Im saying this.....but I like the way the refs are whistle-happy. Im tired of the holding/grabbing/pushing/arm-barring that has taken over college bball. If every officiating crew called the game this way, teams would adjust. Unfortunately, teams dont know what they are going to get night in, night out.

This F'n team has a chance to win a BE title, and they are playing like they could care less! I'm absolutely disgusted with this effort. It's not like Georgetown is anything special. Worst half they have played all year. They are lazy, they are taking bad shots, and they are just going through the motions out there. great job guys. Even before this game, there was no way they were winning the BE title. Syracuse may lose only one game the rest of the way. Realistically, we're looking at a 2 or 3 finish at best, and that's only if we hold serve at home.

Start chewing Chili.  Its bad.

12 turnovers
10 fouls
9 field goals
4 for 8 free throws.

The 2-3 zone has MU passing around the perimeter, then when clock is down less than five, a chuck up.  Has happened many times this year and results have not been good.

Gardner is just a non factor and has looked brutal last few games.

Wilson has not taken a shot, has 2 rebounds and two fouls.  Unless MU has less turnovers, it does matter who plays because there will be no shots to have.

Have less than five turnovers in second half, shoot 70% and foul out Porter and maybe they can come back.

I have never seen more terrible shots by MU in a game this season. WTF are they doing?? Slow the hell down, and quit throwing up junk. Yes, I'm testy tonight, as testy as I have been all year and I'm always on edge during MU games, but dammit, Until they officially can't, I still think they can win the BE title. I want it!

Next year is our year, guru. Bank on it.

Dumb technical.  Off a simple out of bounds play when your team has the momentum.

And this crew is clownish.  No consistency at all in either direction.

Is this one of the slower Marquette teams you guys remember? It seems like the reason the 2-3 is so hard to score on is that other teams cheat towards the paint and Cadougan/Lockett are too slow to penetrate and make the guards work. Defense just seems to recover so easily when MU is on offense compared to other teams.

Nate Lubick shot 13 free throws tonight! 13 free throws! Even when including middle school I feel comfortable saying that's never happened.

Senior point guard with uneven play, bad vibe for the tournament.
Took another big dump on BIG MONDAY!

This may get buried under the Buzz technical talk but Cadougan was nowhere to be found tonight. Starks abused him and he never got it going for his teammates.

Jr. & Ox seem to be MIA vs. good teams.

Best thing about this game.....it's over! Get back on it by beating Pitt at home on Saturday, I'm pretty sure Buzz has them ready and amped for Saturday, and he's gonna set J-Will's alarm clock 30 mins early
