Thanks, Chili! And continued curses to Apple and Adobe. Not only missing flash chat, but bought the $@&! Game from the UWGB site, and then realized it requires Flash. Oye.

Got game on radio. Can breathe again. :D.
Elfin LW, game not on ESPN. All his fault. Ners, what say you?
Drove to Resch Center. MU shooting poorly @ the moment down 12-10. UWGB making things tough by being overly aggressive and "handsy". Zone preventing the ball from going through or getting to Ox. Jake needs a bucket sooner or later.

Radio for me as well.
Homer might be the last guy in broadcasting to use the word "stuff" when a player dunks the ball.
Just Homer and Mac for me as well...Damn you ESPN3!
yup - dropping chris otule references that get your wrists slapped on 'scoop.
Wow, we look pretty rough thus far. Lots of turnovers and we can't seem to break down their zone. UWGB out hustling us as well.

Thanks hoops1. Keep the reports coming. Legs and I need them!
Yikes. 6-for-19 shooting.
This broadcast team isn't even trying to be neutral. I know it's a UWGB home game, but saying "take that, Marquette!" is a bit excessive.
Playing slow and sloppy. Down 7. Not really nervous, but the light needs to go on soon. MU needs to pressure full court and take advantage of their superior athletes. UWGB looks really quick. Playing hard. MU building a brick house on their rim.
The way Lockett and Thomas have been playing, Buzz may have to reinstate Todd at halftime.

I'm not watching it but according to ESPN gamecast he's got two fouls...let me guess...bad help D?
Nice maturity. Nice recovery on the road. Let's finish these guys off in half #2.
Also interesting to see Jamil get a fire lit under him since the moment he was tied up by the little guard Sykes on Green Bay - who wouldn't let go of the ball after the jump ball was called...and they both wouldn't relent on giving ball up...as if Sykes was challenging Jamil's toughness. Since that moment:
4, 3 pointers made and a 2 point basket.
Seriously, Jamil simply needs a fire lit underneath him to get his best.
On the road and this is Green Bay's Super Bowl, no surprise they're playing tough. I liked what we did with the small lineup. Cadougan and DW work together, though I'm not sure that works if Jamil isn't hitting shots. Need to turn up the pace, with them only having 8 players we should be able to run them off the floor in the last 8 minutes.
This feels like the dark ages. Stuck blogging on an iPad while forced to listen only to an AM radio station on the Internet. What would Thirston Howell say?
anyone know why Taylor hasn't played?
Jamil on fire. These guys play each other in the ProAm so some intensity. Junior with six dimes, but three turnovers against the zone. Junior defender but he needs to play under control against the Star Wars shield. Derek is a better PG in the half court.

Honestly, it was simply terrible 1 on 1 defense...no one even came to set a pick on Van...practically an isolation play...1 on 1 and Cerroni shook Blue off the dribble, then gave him a head fake off the jump stop...scored off a bank shot from 5 feet...
Can happen to any defender, just shocked to see it happen to an athlete and defender of Vander's caliber. Perhaps indicative of the team sleep walking/taking the UWGB for granted..

the fact that we cannot draw fouls on this team is troubling. going to be a real crap show the rest of the way. wouldnt be surprised if it comes down to the last 2-3 min.

Nothing to be worried about. First real zone we've seen this year. It's always a tough adjustment and will help when we face Syracuse. The refs aren't calling much and their zone is making penetration (and this drawing fouls) tough. Even if we lose this isn't a disaster. Like I said earlier...

For all those who said lack of outside shooting would not be a major problem this is exhibit A. Jake, Lockett, Junior can't hit the rim from 3. We are being played even by a middle of the road Horizon League team. We will struggle against anyone who throws a zone at us.

GB is empowered by the fact that they can hack w/out a whistle. MU playing soft. Ball must go through Fitty Fo
MU just doesn't have the talent they have had in the past. Junior playing like a back-up point. Lockett like a bench player. Jake like a walkon. Nobody can get Gardner the ball.

When Jake Thomas is in at crunch time I'd say yes. When he takes the last shot you're in a world of hurt.
How do you not put the ball in Vander's hands to drive and at worse get fouled?
Let them celebrate. We'll still be dancing even with a bad loss. But I am not happy about the reffing whatsoever. Sykes shoots nearly twice as many free throws as our team? Utter BS.
For some reason i was worried about this game. Now i know why.
To be fair he did have that would've been game-winner versus butler. But other than that.....
You have to put this on Buzz at some point. For how many of these "easy" games is Marquette going to come out flat? No energy.
This is up there with the DePaul loss
I'm out. Sick to my stomach.
Shoulda been Vander taking it to the rack looking to get fouled or kick it to Jamil Wilson or dump it off to Gardner. Those three options, no one else touches the ball.
Geez....MU just lost to a 3-7 UW-Green Bay team. I don't want to predict NIT yet, but if they lose to LSU, it is going to be very hard to see how they could make the NCAA tournament.

That was ugly no doubt about that. But seriously we haven't evens started conference play and everyone is giving up the season. 1) Basically all game..some 1-2-2 as well
2) I'd say worse - he converted a dunk off of a Derrick Wilson steal for 1 of his 2 FG's. He looked like the bad Vander we'd seen virtually all of year 1 and 2.
Problem for this MU team is you have Good Vander and Junior, and Bad Vander and Junior - and when both go Bad version in the same game...MU is completely F'd..

Basically that Derrick has earned the right to start, but Junior has earned Buzz's loyalty...and Buzz would give Derrick the same benefit of the doubt down the road..

Along with the Dr. Jeckel/Mr. Hyde analogy with Junior and Blue, throw in Lockett, who has been non existent and Otule, who is not even close to being a Div I center anymore.

"Your best chance of being a starting point guard is if Duane becomes a one and done."
