Update: Johnson remains undecided between Alabama, Marquette
Written by: Mark Strotman
According to a source, JaJuan Johnson has not made a decision between Marquette and Alabama and is still undecided. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard will announce his decision tomorrow afternoon. Alabama is still considered the favorite, but the source said Johnson ... Continue reading → (http://painttouches.com/2012/11/01/report-johnson-expected-to-pick-marquette/)

I have no idea which school this kid is going to pick, but I got news for you... He isn't undecided or split 50-50. You really think the kids going to wake up tomorrow and suddenly decide which school he's going to? Flip a coin perhaps? C'mon, he knows which school he's choosing, and he wants the excitement and attention of making his decision on a set date so everyone interested can follow it.

Bingo.
What I can say on the issue is that neither Johnson nor his mother have led on to where he may be deciding. Neither know where Meyer got his report.
Awwwwwww snap! Paint Touches callin' out Jerry Meyer.
If he chooses MU, will this be the first time we come out on top on one of these high profile, ..."he-will-make a-public-announcment-on this-day" recruiting battles?

I'm hoping that Jerry Meyer is more connected than the source for Paint Touches.
Go MU.
It's a simple decision. If he can read and wants an education, he selects Marquette.
If he can't read, he chooses any SEC school not named Vanderbilt.
Jerry Meyer now saying he has a second reliable source confirming it's Marquette, and Gary Parrish is saying the same. Seems like the late reports are usually fairly reliable, and at least no one is saying it's Alabama.
So your source is the kid and his mother? Did I read that correctly?
If so....would you really expect either of them to confirm that a choice has been made 1 day before the actual live announcemt at his school?

Alabama boards references a "an incident" that happened during his recruiting at Alabama - anybody know what that was?

Agree. They're going to play it close to the vest at this point. Why rain on your own parade? At this point, they're not going to confirm or deny anything. Save it for tomorrow.

I seem to remember Duane Wilson being a high profile, ..."he-will-make a-public-announcment-on this-day"
We are on the the cusp of something great. We will be good nonetheless but this really exciting.
This better one of those that is really public involving three hats or something or Im going to be pissed
I think it's about time Paint Touches realizes they're out of their element. Stick to writing stories about the actual team like the Taylor/Furguson piece.

Probably just 2 hats, be removed Miami earlier this week.

Maymon was an announcement that went our way, at least for a semester.

And people like Jerry Meyer and co. are in that element?

They were not referring to Johnson but PG Recruit Cat Barber. You can see from the banter he allegedly may have applied the five finger discount during his visit to UL. He was their primary target at PG.

Here are the specifics pulled from a later post in that same link.

Thanks for clarifying...

Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M and Alabama all sit ahead of MU in the US News rankings, so maybe hop off that high horse. Chances are, if a kid wants a quality education he'll get it wherever he chooses to go.

Putting Alabama that high in the USN rankings is like voting the most overweight girl in school for prom queen. Which in Alabama is apparently not the easiest thing to discern.
I hope he picks MU.
Just don't pull an Iman stunt. That still boils my blood a bit.
Wake me when he signs. Or anyone signs for that matter. That's what counts. Especially this year.

They started showing him the facilities, meeting some of the players, then had him meet with Coach Sabin. It was then they realized he was a basketball recruit, but they still thought they made the best pitch to get him to campus.

Living proof you can buy anything. Naming Alabama a great university is like equating a Yugo to a BMW. The cutting edge of Serbo-Croatian technology just didn't cut it.
Likewise, the cutting edge of contemporary Bubba education is no match for the Jesuits -- or anyone educated in a Midwestern school. As used to say in Tennessee when we looked at the quality of our public education, "at least we're not Alabama and Mississippi!"
When (time) does he announce?

I heard 1:15 PM Central... Don't hold me to that.

Will ESPNU televise it? They televised a lot of these things
Even if it's not televised, you can see an artist's depiction of the outcome that concerns us at 0:28 of the following:

You can get a perfectly fine education at Alabama or any other SEC school. Really sine when do we get to be all snobby about Marquette now?
