Good!!
On a side note, anybody remember the UW v UofI game a few years ago? Red on orange. I had to turn it off.
Ugh. Not time for those baby blues.

I love the baby blue jerseys and they look awesome but too
BIG of a game. I think the teams are extremely similar this year and this will be close. What is our record in the baby blues? Like one win. Hopefully this "decision" is a rumor.
Love the choice.. Big Game, gotta look good for tv
If anyone is implying they are unlucky, you are a fool.
I believe we wore the baby blues when we destroyed Louisville at home a couple years ago. Hopefully Buzz breaks out the matching blazer.

Don't you mean
B1G?
Who cares about past records? players seem to like them, they look sweet, and it's a big game all the more reason to wear em.

Nope, home whites - I'll never forget that game. You were right on the blazer though. I wish he wore it every game but I think he only busts it out on Al's night.

Duh on me, why would we be wearing the baby blues at home. I know we've had some big wins in those unis and I do know they're Pat Forde's favorites.

We wore the baby blue at home against Florida Gulf Coast. The baby blues and gold are alternate uniforms, which can be worn home or away.
Love the baby blues, looking forward to seeing them on national tv! Wait... big1? network? Nobody is going to even see this game.
Love the uni's, not pumped for the probable loss to once again come in them.

I thought it was funny after the Jacksonville game, Buzz said something to the effect of "well, the game is on the big ten network, so that should tell you how big it is" (and I think he meant that sincerely), but if anyone thinks being on the BTN is impressive...they must be living in the the midwest.

I'd guess that Buzz thinks ESPN, ESPN2 and BTN are the only channels on TV and they only have programming from November - early March. He also refuses to believe that The Dennis Krause Show is really broadcast on television.
Love the baby blues (regardless of the record while wearing them). Honestly my favorite uniform in all of sports! Well, maybe a close second to the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders uniform...
I guess I'm just getting old, but those baby blue uniforms are the ugliest uniforms in sports since the all-red Cleveland Indians uniforms in the 70s.
I think the white, navy and gold unis are very sharp, which makes the baby blues seem that much worse.

I love the fact that everyone goes crazy when Fulce is making that shot in the second play where Buzz is dancing. He was a solid, often unintentionally discounted staple of that team.
Baby blues Valour blues worked okay for us here:

I don't think it is age, as I love the uniforms myself. Have heard many a positive comment about the "baby blues" from fans of other teams as well. I guess to some, it brings them back to the Warrior teams of Al McGuire.
I was hoping they wore the baby blues and am EXTREMELY happy they are.
As for those who are superstitious, it seems many of those were predicting MU to lose anyway. At least if they do, this gives you a reason! ;)
To many negative nellies this week. Bring on the Badgers. Saturday cannot get here soon enough.
Bring back the Bumble Bee unis!

It's not so much the baby blue color, it's the way it clashes with the other colors (gold, navy). North Carolina wears a similar blue but it doesn't look so bad mixed with white. The other colors on the McGuire era baby blues were much more subdued as well.
Besides, when you're going to battle I'm not sure "baby blue" is the color to use! Look at the picture of Crowder to the left. Would he look nearly as menacing in baby blue?
Just realized this, and will correct my previous post:
To channel my inner Walter Sobchak here... also, dudes, baby blue is NOT the preferred nomenclature; valour blue, please.

Not sure that I agree with that. The other colors certainly appear to be very similar to me. The difference was the shade of baby blue on the McGuire era teams. I think these are more true to the baby blue than those were.
I know this has been discussed in other threads but wouldn't saturday be an awesome day to unveil a previously unannounced 5th uniform?

Throwback to 2003? Wouldn't that be more of a Handback.

My guess is it will be something for Coaches v Cancer or the Jimmy V Classic. Probably a pink theme. Now, that would really be a menacing looking uniform!

Yes, I think it was mentioned that Buzz was interested in a pink uniform. I think it would be awesome in the coaches v. cancer game next week.

Pink would be wild. Maybe go with Navy with Pink letters/trim or something? or I guess white with pink trim would work as well.

I could see them holding this off and then blasting it for sale to raise funds for cancer. Would be a nice touch.

I would go hot pink with gold and baby blue trim.
I'd go with a darker pink jersey with navy and baby blue trim in the same design as the current jerseys. Take the gold off--it clashes with pink. The side striping would be navy, baby blue, and pink. The Marquette wordmark would be white with navy trim and the numbers navy with white trim.

Yea, the ladies played in pink.
Not to be too old fashioned, I just can't imagine a mens team wearing all pink.
Plus, I think it might be more creative/cool to do something a little more subtle like pink trim and/or pink sneakers.

I don't think any of them fundamentally change their jerseys though.
Just wristbands and shoes, right?
I think MU should change the jerseys, but I don't know if making them completely pink is the way to go. It would be cooler to incorporate pink trim in the current jersey design.
Just an opinion.
Edit: G.D. Grammar.
I just figure if you're gonna go pink, then go pink!
And, like the teenagers are saying, "pink is the new blue".
Keep the stripes, wordmark, numbers, and names the normal colors and make the rest pink.

Oregon did all white with pink numbers & trim and pink shoes.
They forgot to tell the fans that pink clashes with gold.
regardless of record with them i am still pumped about us wearing them. The baby blue jerseys could be some of the best in all of college basketball. Can't wait to watch them on the Big Ten Network
Don't they wear pink jerseys during coachs vs. cancer week when they wear sneakers and jumpsuits? Last year we had white and pink jordans vs. Syracuse. I bet if they do it they wait till then.

I think it's the dark blue numbers with the light blue uniform that upset my sensibilities and makes it seem to clash to me. I think it just goes better with the yellow lettering. But that's just me. (The old ones were hideous too, only less so.)

I agree with that part of your criticism. I wish they put the numbers in gold with navy trim, like the '74 jersey's.

Players should wear baby blue.
FANS should wear gold.
Maybe its just my ADD responding to brighter colors but I think the 70s ones are far superior. If you're gonna go for light blue, I say you really go for it. I wish we would wear 70s throwbacks they would be huge
Wait, so are we wearing the baby blues Saturday? I was reading another thread and it said we might wear gold (which I dont like as a road uni).
Those kicks are sick anyway.

I don't think the shirt i'm wearing at the bar effects games, the hat i'm wearing effects cards dealt to me or in invisible overlords, but I do believe in psychology. Something can get into a team's head. Deviation from a norm can bring discomfort. Not saying that has happened, but i'm open to the possibility.
