Found this in the Cracked Sidewalks listing of media coverage..LOVE IT. Think about it for a minute...from his high school athletic director:
"I was the most impressed with him, with what he did in the offseason," Cooley said. " While others were at home playing video games, he was up here on the court, working. . . . I remember I got here one morning, about 7 a.m., and he was here already, waiting for me to let him in. I asked him, 'You need a basketball?' And he said no, he was going to work on some defensive stuff. How many guys do that?"

That's awesome! I think it's really shown this season, too. He's stepped up so much in all areas of his game. I'm glad he's gonna be around for another year because I can't wait to see how good he is come November.

Isn't it just great??! Probably a 16-17 year old kid at the time...and DJO says - I don't need a basketball..I'm here at 7am to work on some defensive slides, foot fire drills, etc.! Love it.
I hope this wasn't already posted. The Raleigh News and Observer had an article in this morning's paper about DJO (who played HS basketball here).
